The service at the Vela restaurant is exceptional. We were served and attended by the following amazing staff: Edgar, Norma, Isela, and Esperanza. The staff at the Cocomar are also amazing: Fede and the bartenders. The beach at the Hilton is perfect.
7 nights in Puerto Vallarta

Stayed for 7 nights, 1st night was a rocky start. Couldn’t sleep till 2am since the lobby’s noise echos down the whole 4th floor. I would avoid the 4th floor all possible, after complaining it sounded like a common problem, but they moved us up to the 10th floor. . All the employees were fantastic. Some notes from our trip. Yes this is an all inclusive hotel but the employees are working their tale off to serve you so please tip them. I saw many just leave nothing. We feel $5 a person for a white tablecloth dinner is appropriate. The only usb outlets in room are on the clock, a usb-c and one usb , would be nice if they converted a couple outlets at the table to charge devices, I mean this is 2024 We borrowed umbrellas during a rainy day downtown from the bell boys. The front desk doesn’t change currency like we have done at other hotels in the area. - bank Azteca downtown gives the best exchange rates just bring a passport Bring a lot of $1 bills and $5 they go along way for breakfast, lunch- cocmar , bartenders, entertainment staff, maids, bell boy, concierge, minibar, etc Mini bar- kinda of weak and cheap, couple cheap Tecate beers and some sodas and mineral waters, waters. Uber everywhere, they came within a couple minutes and super affordable and can tip in the app Bedroom/bathroom has super slippery tile when wet, be careful our kids slipped and bruised themselves Room service food is just average The reservation restaurants were the best of the food we had during our stay. La Luce - ate here 4 nights and had amazing service from Andre and Fransica , they had our drinks ordered before we even set down. Andre was super helpful with our daughter’s food allergy-gluten free and was able to accommodate her in many ways. Maxal- ate 1 night here with server Gabriel Mendoza , 5 star service, the food was excellent and table side guacamole made right in front of us was a highlight . Wish we could dine here again but we forgot to reserve and was all full Sea salt - not bad service o.k. the portions were on the smaller side Cocomar- ate here at lunch every day with Hugo, he remembered our order and was great for our gluten free diner. Lucas and Alan from entertainment were great and remembered our kids names from the activities. We found a local on the beach with a blue umbrella-Javier Ceballos which we did a family snorkel for 2hrs and a 4hr fishing trip on his family’s boat, super affordable and reliable. He isn’t affiliated with hotel but has been there on the beach for 10yrs, his wife also does massages. He offers all the same tours found everywhere for 20-30%less His number is [+52]322 889 4701
