Great family vacation

The setup of the hotel was fantastic and the staff was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the gym/activities staff - Saúl, Hugo, Bibi, Blanca and Yadira. They were great with the entertainment and engageme...nt with all the guests. Saúl in particular spent extra time with our 2.5yr son. Rooms had a great setup with balconies & great views. Food was good, we ate the Vela buffet mostly with our 2.5yr old which had a lot of options and quality food - better than we’ve had in Cancun and Cozumel resorts. All in all a great family vacation.

Pros: Pretty good food and service and overall resort experience. The beach lagoon at the Hilton is nice enough to hang out in most of the day as the rock barriers make it safe to hang out in. Best restaur...ant experience is the Italian restaurant, and we had an amazing dining prince with Alejandro Mario Caesar and his team lead Christian. Don’t waste your time on the steakhouse restaurant unless you want to pay $10-50ish for a halfway decent steak, otherwise you’re just better off eating at the buffet restaurant for most meals and just having them cook you a NY Strip Steak at the Buffet restaurant at night. Finally, you’ll have a great time at the pool all day if you tip your server $20-40 a day, as they’ll bring you food and alcohol proactively. Also, cabana beds by the pool are only about $60 a day and totally worth it. Cons: They run out of pool towels really fast. Some of the restaurants that require reservations have sub-par food or wait staff.
