Takeaways: -Great pools -Great food -Tips not included -Make reservations way in advance -Many items not included in all inclusive -Didn’t love the sister hotel -Pool closes at 7?!? -North tower is better While choosing this resort I was a bit worried that I would have to go to the sister hotel if I wanted to go to the actual beach. Turns out the trams are super easy and fun. We did go to the sister hotel once but found that we much preferred just hanging in the infinity pools with no kids around. These pools are so high up that you feel like you are in the ocean so we never got tired of it. Arturo was also super kind and amazing, he even got the pool temperature turned up for up on a cloudy day. I was however livid on my first day there when they kicked us out of the pool at 7 pm, before the sun even set. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. I just wanted to watch the sunset in the pool. As for the restaurants, be sure to make reservations way in advance! We were super bummed that we couldn’t get into the steak house even though we called a couple days ahead of time. The food at hotel Mousai was excellent as far as resorts go (Can’t beat the real local food though), but we were disappointed to find that there were many items not included in the all inclusive package. You are also definitely supposed to tip even though it says that tips are included in the inclusive package which was just kind of annoying to have to think about conversions and what not. North tower is better in my opinion because of the view, they told me that it was more outdated but that’s not true. Still has the Bluetooth and looks pretty much the same, we saw both. The pool was also a little more relaxed. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely book again. Just wanted to let you all know things that I wish I had known.

Omar and Manuel were amazing at the rooftop pool. Very attentive and friendly. They made sure we were taken care of. Tonya at concierge respected the fact that we didn’t want to do any timeshare presentations and we didn’t feel pressured once during our stay at Mousai. We had an issue at one of the restaurants on the first night where the host couldn’t find our reservation and was rude about it and Ingo at the front desk made sure it was resolved and rectified. We had an issue getting our room serviced and we had to ask multiple times to have it done properly but when I spoke to the manager Alejandro about it he was extremely apologetic and again this was rectified to our satisfaction. After this we had zero issues:) Daniel from room service was exceptional! So thorough and happy! He went above and beyond to give us a great breakfast experience and set the tone for our day:) Mike, our guide for the jungle hike was entertaining, funny and knowledgeable . we had a great experience! Something that really stood out to me was there were about 14 of us on the hike and he remembered everyone’s names! Very impressive. Overall, despite very minor issues this was a 5 diamond experience! The food and drinks are top notch. This is saying a lot because my fiancé is very picky when it comes to food especially and I heard no complaints the entire 6 days we were here! We have been to a lot of 4 and 5 diamond and Mousai is top of our list????
