Peaceful and beautiful

Lisa A on Jun 05, 2025

Absolutely in love with this resort! The wellness and serene atmosphere is beyond amazing! From the classes that are offered to the beautiful grounds, definitely top of my list. I especially enjoyed the yo...ga and aqua classes offered by the NRG2GO instructor Lisa, as well as the classes offered by the entertainment team. Memo and Melanie were so fun!! I enjoyed the Watsu class and sound therapy. The food is so good! And very well presented! The wait staff have all been excellent and attentive.

Nice enough but still figuring out who they cater to

Meghan C (Las Vegas, Nevada) on Jun 01, 2025

There was nothing inherently wrong with this resort, but I feel like we got a little bait and switched with all the changes that happened between when we booked and when we arrived, none of which were comm...unicated beforehand. This was an adults only resort when we booked, but by the time we arrived it had switched to a family resort. This wasn’t an issue on weekdays, but weekends were a different story. We also booked a type of room category that didn’t exist by the time we arrived with an ocean view room. This resulted in us being “upgraded” to a bigger room, one that had an 8 person dining table, but no ocean view unless you squinted. Our room was also right above Essence restaurant, like right above, so we had music blasting and chairs and tables banging around from 4-11:30p every night and never felt comfortable enjoying our balcony because we would have an audience of the entire restaurant patio while they enjoyed their meals. This seemed very odd, given that the resort did not seem very full. We did get the timeshare push at check in with the sales guy going over map of the resort with you in the lobby before you get your wristband. We were just firm that we were not interested and he backed off. We’ve experienced worse. Can’t speak to what the experience is if you agree to the tour for benefits. The food was fine, though there are very limited options, especially for dinner, and the reservation system, requiring you to physically book with a concierge day of at 11a, is cumbersome and stressful. Honestly, the buffet had the best food, especially the made to order tacos, but it wasn’t open for dinner. The pool food was pretty good too. Again, not a lot of variety, especially if you’re a picky eater. The entertainment and activity staff were by far the best part. Memo at the pool was so high energy every day, and I enjoyed yoga with Brenda one morning. We had fun at the fire dancer show (called Armony Vibes), even though it started an hour later than advertised on the activity schedule. I enjoyed the sound healing, and my favorite thing of the entire trip was the watsu experience with Victor (I think). The watsu was honestly a transformative experience of wellness and healing for me, completely unexpectedly, and it made my whole trip. It’s hard to even describe how transformative it was for me. They don’t really advertise it or explain what it is onsite, but it’s not to be missed. My fiancé said the gym had everything he needed (note it’s not 24 hours) and my spa treatment was relaxing. I wasn’t able to use the water therapy outdoors. There were men taking a break from doing maintenance on a big piece of scaffolding overlooking the spa area and being a woman on my own, this made me feel very uncomfortable. The grounds and pools are maintained very well. We enjoyed that the pools were heated! We spent the most time we’ve ever spent on a vacation in the infinity pool, it was the perfect temperature. We went out there everyday. It was nice that every pair of chairs had an umbrella too. The location is pretty off the beaten path. The airport transfer through the hotel was not high end - a taxi car there, a 10 seat white van just for 2 of us to rattle around in on the way back. The roads once you get off the highway are badly in need of being repaved. At one point, the driver slowed down and pulled off to the side under a bridge and we thought for a second we were about to be kidnapped, but it was just to get around the poor pavement! If you’re not looking to explore anything outside what the resort has to offer, this is a nice place. If you’re trying to do touristy stuff in PV or explore the area, this is a bit of a distance at 1-1.5 hour uber to the city each way. This is a very nice resort, but I think it’s just in a transition where they’re figuring out what they want to be with adults and children, and the activities and food on offer. It was disappointing as adults to be splashed by kids in the pool, but I think you’d be disappointed as a family that there’s not a lot catered to keep children entertained. The staff is incredibly hardworking and we had no complaints on the service we received, other than that there was turndown service the first night but not the next 4. If this was the only all-inclusive in Mexico we had ever visited, I probably would have rated this 5 stars. But we’ve been to several in Cabo and Cancun and have different expectations. This resort is just harder to get to for us and doesn’t offer much different to make it worth it.
