Rundown family friendly resort in great Marina location

This old, run down resort could use a major refurbishment or be torn down so something new can be built. It’s in a great location close to the marina which allows you to walk to many bars, restaurants and shops. The rooms are outdated, lack basics like electrical outlets and are poorly furnished. There are only 3 restaurants on site- a Buffett, a seafood restaurant and a Mexican restaurant. The Buffett was ok but gets boring after a couple of days. We didn’t try the fish restaurant. The Mexican restaurant was not very good at all. The drinks are very weak and the wine selection is terrible. We had a nice trip but only because we spent most of our time away, eating in the local restaurants and enjoying PV.

We stayed at Melia Hotel with our family (husband, wife and two young children, 4yo and 2yo). We do not have extensive experiences with All Inclusive, this is only our second stay at an All Inclusive hotel. We had an absolutely great experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and feels very grand. It is very very close to the airport approximately at 10 minute cab ride. And reasonably close to tourist attractions. We had some issues that needed to be fixed in our bathroom, but it was resolved in a timely manner. We did not have to change rooms, and was fixed while we were out during the daytime. The pool is absolutely amazing. Our young kids absolutely loved it and we had a lot of fun. The beach is beautiful and lots of room for everyone, not busy. The food was OKAY. I'm not overly picky with food in comparison to my husband, so I still enjoyed it. The food at Mole and Taco was superb though, and everyone in our party agreed! Would definitely consider staying here again! Thank you so much to the extremely friendly staff members! They were all amazing!
