If your English don't go!

cindy n on Nov 11, 2024

Spent a week there, beautiful hotel, repetitive food, the worst was no English. 750 people there 500 Italians from Italy not Canada the rest were German and Argentinas. We found 4 others that whole week that spoke English. The staff at the hotel were very limited and few and far between for English. Couldn't participate in any games or fun because it was all Italian and Spanish. Tried to play bingo the girl struggled to say the numbers in English. We just gave up after that. When you get there and get your room and start to head to it then the staff bugs you to death funny they know English. They never stop lieing and trying to get you to go to time share seminar. Most of the people we tried to talk to were all time share owners. They totally cater to the Italians. The resort is way to big it's two in one. Lots to do, no elevators so if you over 65 and a little over weight or bad knees look out for the third floor rooms up and down them puppies 3 or 4 times a day was out of the question. Very family oriented kids everywhere because the go free with the time share. First 2 hours there I was ready to go home. Begging for a flight back. They did get us a ground floor after I told them I was setting up in the lobby for the week. We traveled to Cuba all the time would recommend there before here again and on the last Note hacking and coughing all over the buffet. Near the end of the trip all came home with covid

Euro experience

J K (Ajax, Canada) on Nov 10, 2024

We arrived mid afternoon check in was pretty quick, the bracelet they they give you has the door access tag attached so no having to carry a card. Our room was a cabana right on the beach , close to everything so when the rain came it was a quick return to our room . Now for the bad our toilet tank leaked continues into a drain and our Air-conditioning barely worked , their explanation was that it would take 10 hours to cool a room 15' by 20' I called b.s to that . Be prepared that English is not the first language so communication with staff is poor , and because of that the effort to resolve any issues like the toilet leaking or the a/c is none existent. Lots of food to choose from , the wifi is decent but the the time doesn't update so when you book your alacart dinners watch the time . Over all this is my second time going to daminican and for me we wanted to try something different than Punta cana which I hated , the good thing is that you can leave the resort and walk around town with shops and small restaurants without any issues. Every morning I would leave to go shore fishing about a twenty minute walk away and absolutely no issues with anyone
