Great location very close to Fisherman's Wharf. Modern, comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. Would definitely come back

The first room I had was on the ground floor and was very comfortable. I did have only a restricted view as there were tall ornamental plants immediately in front of both windows. When a noisy pump started operating a few days into my stay the noise though intermittent was very intrusive. I was moved to a room at the top of the hotel. The door was damaged and the windows dirty. The view over air conditioning units was horrible and they were noisy. I only moved to escape a noisy room. It was disappointing to be told I was being upgraded only to be given an inferior room

We enjoyed our stay at the Riu. The location was exactly what we were looking for. It is easy walking distance to everything in the Fisherman’s Wharf area. The streetcar stop is nearby and makes it easy to get to many other areas. The most amazing feature was the unbelievable breakfast buffet. It had numerous stations offering a wide variety that is sure to please all.

We were greeted at reception with a bottle of water each and didn’t have to wait long to get checked in. Our room was very spacious. The breakfast was excellent! And the hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Lots of benches and sofas in reception and a lovely outdoor seating area with fire pits to relax with a beer at the end of the day.
