Overall a really good trip. The staff is sensational and attentive; they look after your every need - and always with a smile. Going into the downtown core is a stone's throw away. It's one of the few destinations where one can go to in complete safety. News reports of island-wide power outages are exaggerated. Not once during my two week stay did Solymar loose power. It might not be a luxury destination, but given the fantastic beaches, weather, level of safety, and exceptional staff, many of the imperfections can easily be overlooked. These folks need our tourist dollars. Go there, support the local economy, and have a fun and relaxing go of it at the same time.

Nice resort food can be repetitive. Hotel staff is amazing specially their employee Yasel Hernandez is amazing friendly and knowledgeable person. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Resort is located very close to main town. At night you can walk to bars and park. Very safe neighborhood.

I went in August 2024 and I have to say everything was led for me to have a bad time … but I didn’t . The food wasn’t the best of course , if you go there for the food …forget about it .( besides the mangoes ??) What made my trip was the friend that I met in the animation team . A special thanks to all the members of the animation team especially Jorgito (Crazyyyy) , Karel,(El Maestro ) Cesar(The best Dj in Cuba ) Rey Luis ( Mi blaaaaackkkk ), Roniel ( the MVP) & Yasel(my brother from another mother ) They were the best even better that I could dream of . I went there and I still talk to most of them ,until this day .They really feel like family to me . It was the third time I went in Cuba and It was the best trip ever because of these gentlemens. Please take care of them for me . Say Suggy from Canada send you they will laugh . My trip was great and it’s in major part because of them . I will go back there just for them . If they switch hotel , I will follow them wherever they go . I love them and I miss them .

The staff at this resort make it such a wonderful experience. We went in November 2024 and were guests for 2 weeks in two locations on the resort- the staff in every location was so kind and especially at the Snack bar! Virinia the beach hostess went above and beyond everyday to make sure our stay was special. She helped us learn more about Cuban culture and Ariel taught us about life as a young man in Cuba and what is required and the other staff from the pool, and a la carts and Buffet, front desk, maintenance every one was so kind, gracious and helpful. The cappuccinos at the lobby bar were delicious! We’d went to 6 a la cart dinners and 3 parties at the snack bar and enjoyed all the experiences.
