We are working with our key school partnerships to continue our commitment to pipelining future talent for the health and growth of the aviation industry in Canada.

We continue to offer a virtual hiring experience as our primary means of connecting and engaging with our candidates through leveraging video technology throughout the hiring process. However, we have also started to re-introduce in-person interviews for certain roles.

Westjet has implemented a new “Remote Work” program where some employees, based on the nature of their role and at the discretion of the company, may have the option to work from home. Our campus has re-opened to support those roles that are required to work from the office, or for those individuals who prefer a hybrid work model and like to come into the office a few days a week but also enjoy the flexibility of working from home.

We do, however, receive several of these requests throughout the year and although WestJet wishes we could be in many places at once, we must ensure those we chose to partner with are in line with our organization’s values, goals, and initiatives.
