WestJet service update: Hurricane Milton – Cancun, Florida and Nassau operations

In response to Hurricane Milton, for the safety of our guests and crew, WestJet has issued travel advisories for Cancun, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Fort Myers, Tampa and Nassau. WestJet’s current travel advisories are posted online: https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/travel-info/advisories

The following scheduled flights serving these destinations have been proactively cancelled and all impacted guests have been notified.

We continue to monitor Hurricane Milton’s path closely and will make operational changes in the name of safety as required. 

Recovery flights to support guests impacted by Hurricane Milton are being evaluated in real time and will be implemented once it is safe to resume operations. The following recovery flights have been scheduled for Cancun on Wednesday, October 9:

• WS4280 YYZ-CUN

• WS4215 CUN-YYC

We urge our guests to follow all emergency response instructions provided by local authorities. Guests travelling to or from Cancun, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Fort Myers, Tampa and Nassau are also advised to check the status of their flights prior to leaving for the airport.  

Guests with reservations affected by the latest travel advisory can make voluntary changes to their itinerary inclusive of date/destination change free of charge or free cancellation.
