Guardian Fare Program

The guardian fare allows parents or guardians to escort children between the ages of 2 and 11 on most WestJet flights. A guest who has turned 2 years old but has not yet had their 12th birthday must be accompanied by an adult on all WestJet flights, while a guest who has already reached their 12th birthday can travel on their own. With the purchase of a guardian fare, the guardian is eligible for a reduced fare, but is required to return to their departure city within 24 hours. Guardians will be seated beside or near the child they are travelling with.

The scheduled departure time for the return flight of the guardian must be no less than 2 hours after the original flight arrives into the destination.

The guardian fare is not offered on WestJet's 787 Dreamliner flights.
