The best of Barbados is now even better!

We have been going to this Hilton for over a decade now, and we've always loved it as it is reasonably priced (we always find good deals when booking in advance), it's perfectly located in Barbados (at the... edge of South/West coasts), has excellent service, great rooms, great views, great pools and a great and relaxed beach (although maybe not the best for swimming). On this trip as Gold members we were upgraded to a beautiful Superior Sea View room (although we also like the bay view rooms), but the best news was that now Gold members get the full buffet breakfast complimentary. The Hilton is renowned on the island for its buffet breakfast and making it complimentary for Gold members is a big deal, instead of the limited Continental breakfast offered in the past. Like it can happen at any hotel, we had an issue with our AC unit on the first night, but their engineer came that same night, and spent quite some time to make sure it was fixed perfectly. Issues can happen anywhere, but it is this kind of service that makes a difference. I'd like to mention as well that in past years we didn't have the best experiences dining at the hotel's restaurants, so we prioritised dining out, which is always a good idea as Barbados has plenty of good options. But this year we noticed the menu had changed at the Lighthouse restaurant, so we gave it a shot for a family gathering (party of 6), and it was absolutely delicious for everyone. It was really great to see that our favourite hotel in Barbados is even better than ever before, thank you! Special thanks to Adrian (at reception), who was extremely helpful during our stay, helping with our upgrade and other arrangements, and who seems to enjoy the same nearby roti shop we do!

Happy hour at the Hilton bar tender is doing his best but he is the only one and there are loads of guests ! Please sort out your staffing. Waited 20 mins for a beer ??There seem to be plenty of staff arou...nd but never in the right place at the right time such a shame
