An absolute pleasure!!!

aroundtheworldgal28 on Jun 16, 2024

They say that first impressions are everything and when I tell you this trip completely exceeded all of mine expectations!!! I went on a woman's retreat recently and this was my first international trip; I had the most beautiful experience at this enchanting and enticing place that is the Naia Resort and spa. From the pristine clean grounds the warm and inviting service of the staff, to the absolutely delicious and nutritious food options that were available to the rejuvenating and tranquil Spa grounds and services, it was truly hands down best vacation I ever gave myself . Just being able to wake up to the Caribbean Sea was an absolute dream come true definitely will be planning my return trip.

Put Naia Resort and Spa on your list!

eclecticgrits (Atlanta, Georgia) on May 23, 2024

Naia Resort and Spa is such a beautiful resort. It's quitely tucked away on 200+ acres in Placenicia surrounded by lush greenery and the beach. From the moment we arrived untl the day we left, the staff was attentive and kind. Our 1 br/1ba unit had a view of the beach. The decor was perfect. *I LOVED the outdoor shower.* And the food was tasty! Oh yes...and the spa...WHEW! Beautiful, reasonably priced, and great shower! If you want a quiet vacation (VERY QUIET) without a lot of people and with great service, Naia is for you!

One of the most unexpectedly amazing trips I have been on in a while.

One of the most unexpectedly amazing trips I have been on in a while. This was our first time in Belize and fell in love. Not only is the country beautiful but staying at Naia made it an over-the-top amazing experience. The staff are amazingly friendly and so very helpful and the resort itself is one out of dreams. The perfect location just a short ride from downtown. We have already told anyone and everyone who would listen that they need to book a trip to Naia in Placencia ASAP.

Amazing resort-Must go!

Laura11292015 (Seville, Spain) on May 19, 2024

My husband and I needed a place to go and booked Naia about 10 days before going, on the advice of a travel agent. Boy, are we glad we did!!! It was just what we needed, the perfect mix of relaxation and excursions if you wanted. Staff and Service are impecable, everyone is so nice and helpful and we got to know several of the staff members over our 9 days there. Since we booked last minute, we opted for all inclusive, and Reynari, the reservation specialist took care of the rest. Trip included airfare to Placencia from Belize City, all meals, cocktails/drinks (not all, but plenty of choices), and 2 excursions. A few comments/advise: 15. Naia is an absolute gem, beautiful scenery, property and the most friendly hospitable staff. We definitely plan on returning, perhaps in April instead of May. 1. We were there in the first week of May. It's very hot, almost 100 degrees each day. Bungalows and 1981 restaurant are air conditioned, everything else is outdoors. 2. DO NOT overpack. It is a very casual atmosphere. 1981 restaurant doesn't allow bathing suits, but nothing dressy is required. We brought way too much clothing that we never unpacked. Flip flops/bathing suits and the like. Hats, too 3. Bring Sunscreen, we went through 3 cans while we were there. 4. Water is safe to drink and electricity is same as US 5. Property is mostly sandy, so bring appropriate shoes 6. We rented a house with a plunge pool. Highly recommend. for evening swims and when the main pool is crowded, it's great. 7. We were originally in unit 31, Beach View and we really enjoyed it. plunge pool was partially secluded by bushes and it was a great location. We moved mid-stay to unit #35, Beach Front, which is not worth the move IMHO. The unit was a bit older as well. Bungalows are spacious and very comfy. Beds/linens are very comfortable. 6. Main pool is small, only about 12-14 lounge chairs and there were times when there were no chairs available. People come for the day who are not staying on property, and there is no where else to sit by the pool if it's crowded. There are beach chairs also which is nice, and 2 chairs and hammocks on the pier. I would not like to be there during busy season. although it's not an Adult Only resort, it should be. there were a bunch of kids in the pool at one point, and they were just having a good time, but it was noisy and the pool isn't that big. 7. Food is amazing and plentiful-if you get the all inclusive be prepared to eat A LOT. We ended up skipping lunch after a few days and then eating lunch and skipping dinner. Breakfast goes until 11, and lunch until 5. Everything we ordered came out beautifully prepared and hot. My husband went fishing and caught mackerel and they cooked it for us. It was delicious. 8. Gym is very nice, but needs an add'l A/C unit It gets very hot and the rubber smell from the floor is a lot. Towels and water are provided. They request that you turn off A/C each time so it can take a bit to get cooled off. 9. we took 2 excursions, snorkeling which was fun, and the Monkey River. The Monkey River tour was just ok-it was extremely hot so no crocs or birds. Our guide did take us until the jungle and located the howler monkeys which was fun and we were able to see the manatees on the way back. We did wear long pants and shirts as recommended and wore Merrills. I'd bring shorts to change into the boat ride back. We also brought bug spray, which seemed to work well, though I did pull a tiny tick off my upper leg. The lunch provided was meh, but an enjoyable time overall. 10. Hubby went fishing, he was the only 1 and had a nice time with the captain who took him out. Small boat with outboard motor. 11. Resort is very quiet, no evening activities or anything like that. They also do not change their clocks in Belize so it's dark around 6:30. If you want night life, you'll need to go off property. 12. Larger homes are available if going with more people-you can stay on property or rent off property and buy a package at Naia for the day if you want. 13. We did not rent a car, but you can rent a golf cart for 4/8/day if you want. 14. We did go to the Turtle Inn for 1/2 price pizza on Sunday, owned by Frances Ford Coppola. supposed to have a great wine tasting, but we didn't have time. 15. Perfect spot for R&R and not difficult to get to from many major airports.

World-class Resort

Doug D on May 11, 2024

The excellence in design, construction, integration into its surroundings, and sense of place make the property amazing. Even more amazing is the staff and experience. Juan, Julian, and the entire staff was the nicest most attentive team I have ever seen. Oh, and the food, WOW! - we kept talking about going somewhere to try out something different but we kept trying different items and specials on the menu and we couldn’t bring our selves to go anywhere else. Overall, it’s the finish resort I have ever had the pleasure to stay at.
