Hello! Please read before booking ! We had a very bad experience here. First the units are very old, like 30 years old and not renovated, no maintenance and everything is falling appart... For example the lanai door was broken and stuck, its not was not possible to go outside and enjoy the view... Another big fail is the ants, like everywhere, in the kitchen, in the bathrooms... From our pictures you can see all of this, it's also dirty, not cleaned and even mold at the bottom of some walls! Anyway, we told the reception the next day we arrived and they told us they would fix the lanai door, the ants, and nothing was done. From the beginning to the end we had these issues. My point of view : make a reservation somewhere else!
Our Condo Was Not Nice

While there might be some nice condos at this complex, we did not get one. #607 is very run down. It hasn't been really cleaned in years. The fans have 2" of dust, as do all the artificial plants. There was food splattered on the walls. Cockroaches and ants also. The washer/dryer barely worked and sounded like they were going to fall apart any minute. It's also located in the farthest way corner of the property on the corner of two busy streets, thus very loud with traffic. Not a relaxing place to sit outside. The pool was nice. We would not stay here again.
Dirty, Terrible and don't waster your money

Unit 405 was absolutely TERRIBLE. Spiders and other small bugs everywhere in Master bathroom. A dead cockroach was found when we checked in. Garbage Disposal was not working and water was leaking from the bottom of sink. Front Desk did not help us switch to a different, better unit. Expedia repeatedly contacted this property to ask for refund and they never did. TERRIBLE experience. Do not book.
Palms at Wailea great location

Beautiful views at both sunrise and sunset. The 2 bedroom condo is in a great location, just minutes from Kihei to the north and Turtle Town to the south. There is a public beach it is about a 10 walk from the condo, but there is also parking at the beach so we mainly drove. The condo was well furnished; full kitchen and a washer and dryer. They provide towels to use at the pool. Nice size patio with a bbq grill, dining set and lounge chairs There is a cleaning fee $300+ that was not included in our package Check out was 10 am and our flight was not until 10 pm. They allowed us to us the pool for the day. If I had asked earlier (at booking) I could have gotten a later check out
We loved this place - twice!

This was our second stay at The Palms of Wailea. We loved it the first time (Apr 2014) and we loved it again (June 2023). This time we booked 2 condos, #1205 and #406 for our expanded family. #1205 is a 2 BR ground unit with a garden view and was a short walk across the grounds from the pool. #406 is a 1 BR second floor unit near the pool. Room tips: ground units have less privacy because lots of people walk across the grass, We kept our sliding doors locked when we left the unit for the day. 2nd floor units can be left open and be cooled by the the ocean breeze. The 2 BR unit was very nice even though the furnishings were a little tired and worn. There were some minor issues such as scratches and chips on some of the wood furniture. One of the sliding doors was bent so it didn't slide easily and the coffee maker carafe was broken, but management repaired and replaced them right away. The tile floors needed washing but that could be due to being a ground floor unit with the doors open most of the time. Everything else was fine. The furniture was very comfortable both inside and outside on the lanai. All of the appliances worked well and were clean. We all enjoyed our meals on the lanai of this unit and appreciated the gas grill that was provided. This unit was usually very quiet. We could hear the sounds from the pool across the yard in the evenings, but that didn't bother us. The 1 BR unit was also very nice, but unfortunately had an ant problem. A good exterminator could solve that. We didn't want to have it sprayed while we were using it. This unit had beach equipment provided: chairs, umbrella & boogie boards. The proximity to the pool is great for those that want to be near it. Overall we found the 2 units to be very comfortable and we enjoyed our time there very much. We didn't find anything wrong that was more than normal wear and tear, except for the ants. They were a nuisance, but manageable. If you want perfect conditions you can go to the higher priced resorts. If you want a comfortable, relaxing condo that meets all of your needs - including a big, lovely beach within walking distance (Keawakapu Beach) then I would recommend The Palms at Wailea. We love it there and plan to come back.
