Not Paris, Horseshoe

foozy1 on Sep 28, 2024

Fu ny thing, we booked a room at Paris, LV. When we checked in they put us on the Versailles Tower. Little did we know, that tower is closer to the Horseshoe than it is Paris. It's the old Ballys building, a mile away from everything at Paris. Then, the room had a shower, no bathtub. We'll, the shower had no shelf to put soap and shampoo, we had to take the garbage can and flip it upside down to put stuff on so we didn't break our neck reaching on the floor for stuff. Won't be going back

Paris nice and comfortable

Michelle R (Canberra, Australia) on Sep 27, 2024

We booked the Paris after a recommendation from a friend. The room was nice and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the style of the room was very over the top but suited the name. The bathroom was spacious with a nice walk in shower. It was super busy on the ground floor where the restaurant and casino were located so it was nice to retreat to our room for some quiet time.

Stay elsewhere

Don’t stay here. My son’s room was robbed…. Yes while they were sleeping in it…. Apparently this is not unusual. Thank goodness they didn’t wake up or who knows what could have happened. Check in was ridiculous. Rooms are old and worn. No coffee machine either. They hit you up for all kinds of extra fees. Carpet was dirty. The pool looks NOTHING like the photos. The concrete had mud dripping off the ugly planters flowing towards the pool, not to mention the $35 drinks poolside (plus tip). The days of these theme hotels is over. Stay elsewhere.

Massive and somewhere you could spend a weekend in without leaving....but not the experience I'd hoped for.

If you arrive by self-drive car, there is certainly an incentive to use the valet parking. We used their self-park garage and subsequently had a 10-15 minute walk to the reception area, dragging our heavy cases through the hotel. We queued for approximately 25 minutes before being seen by a very cheerful lady. Unfortunately, as check-in is from 4pm and we were stood there in front of her at 3.30, she informed us that our room wasn't yet ready. We had 3 choices, accept a lesser room than we'd booked (and paid for), make an additional payment and get a room with an improved view or join the queue again and present ourselves at 4pm when she hoped the room we'd booked would be ready. We chose the better room but I had a suspicion that this was simply a way of extracting more money from us...but I may be wrong. The room was possibly worth the extra $40 (although ill never really know as I'm unsure as to what my original room was like). It was large and certainly had an impressive view. The room had no free coffee facilities, the only one on our 15 night US tour that didn't. It also had a limit of 2 free WiFi connected devices. No a big issue but again, the only hotel on our trip to restrict things in this manner despite it being the most expensive. The hotel was lovely (albeit expensive in comparison to others). Check out was easy, able to be done on-line. Unfortunately, the itemised bill was confusing (why would I be charged room tax twice, different amounts). I also tried to sign up to the Ceaser's reward programme before leaving the UK, to find out that it wasn't possible outside the US. Nevermind, I can do it when I arrive. Unfortunately, I can only guess that it knows I'm using a UK registered phone, as it still gave me the same error issue despite being sat in the room in their hotel when I tried it. I understand I could potentially have unlocked some discounts if I had been able to.....perhaps I'll try an MGM hotel when we return.

Paris Hotel Las Vegas

The hotel itself is great so far. The check in was Horrible! I had 2 rooms reserved, one was ready around 4:00, that’s ok and understandable. The second room was ready at 6:45! What the heck. Luckily my room was ready so everyone put their bags in my room and we went out site seeing. I was able to do the mobile check in at a kiosk, only 4 or 8 were working too, but to check in at the desk the line was over a hour long easily. Oh well, all good.
