Booked a two night stay and left after the first night. Check in was long and not welcoming. Once in our room we were told it was only half ready. We had booked a 2 bedroom Villa which turns out to be two separate rooms and you then open the connecting door. Both rooms felt like being in a dungeon, very dark with low ceilings. The one restaurant onsite was closed and the pool bar didn’t open due to IT issues? Very inconvenient when traveling with children. The pool was crowded and minimal seating due to people laying towels out early in the day. Felt like we staying in a motel 6. Our family had such a terrible time we left after one evening. Couldn’t even imagine staying longer. Would NOT recommend.

Love this place!

We love this place! I’m surprised to find such negative reviews from others... Some people are just never pleased I guess. We come here every year. The staff has always been kind and helpful! The property is always clean and they are quick to address any issue when you call or text the numbers provided. My family and I always leave happy!

Resort in Nane Only

deutscheorg on May 05, 2024

I am a Titanium Elite member, stayed at this property from May 3-5 (Confirmation #79088420) this property is a resort in name only spent a lot saved points to no avail, wifi is horrible, restaurant in site is closed renovations going on, was promised by Frank upon check in to be contacted to do presentation to receive either gift card of $250 or 40,000 bonus points and never contacted, also requested 30 minute late check out which was denied lied to and told rooms were booked for the day but yet when I went online to check reservations app showed plenty of rooms available to be booked. I would definitely never stay at this property again and will be filing a complaint directly with Marriott.

Very Disappointing

Stefan & Tanya K on May 02, 2024

Don’t go! The resort has potential, but currently mismanaged as it goes through transition to Marriott owned properties. As a guest you don’t feel welcomed there, staff is unmotivated to say the least. All property restaurants are closed for renovation, you are not even offered a glass of tap water, as you arrive snd wait in line to checkin. You have to drive to get food as there is nothing nearby. The studios supposed to have “full kitchen”, yet you don’t even have a cutting board or a bottle opener there. The ice machine wasn’t working in our building, so are the 3 out of 5 grills. The one “working” gas grill, took 40 min to heat up… and there are no grill utensils provided. You have to call the front desk to report the problems. Their standard response: “we are going to send a technician tomorrow”. The worst part was the maintenance crew using loud stinky blowers to move the sand from the driveways, blowing sand and dust on guests, trying to enjoy the pools and walking by to get to their cars and rooms. The rooms require renovation, the mini fridges don’t cool well, the mattresses uncomfortable (we had trouble sleeping sliding to the side)…

Absolutely Fantastic Stay - Highly Recommend!

DJP1964 (Winnipeg, Canada) on Apr 29, 2024

We stayed in a 2 BR Villa and could not be more pleased with the quality of our accommodations. Everything was fresh & clean - the furniture and the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The shower had great water pressure and the towels were extra soft! The golf course was in superb shape and was a highlight of our trip. Who can ask for more? Everyone who helped us at the resort showed incredible customer focus - from the front desk to the activity center to the team at the golf course. This is truly a top end resort where the customer comes first. Much of this is due to the great leadership of Jim Moran, the general manager. We had the pleasure of meeting Jim during one of the daily events by the pool and he was a gracious host. We look forward to returning to Shadow Ridge!
