Lovely but LOUD

This place exceeded our expectations – with one notable exception that I’ll get to. But overall, we had a nice vacation. The villa was spacious, clean, and nicely updated. Bonus – there are outlets and plu...gs everywhere. A great perk when everyone in the family has a device that needs charging. It was also much larger than we expected. The kitchen was limitedly stocked but had all the necessary basics to pull together a simple meal. For coffee drinkers, there are a couple starter packs – but we bought our own better coffee at Whole Foods (a mere 4 min drive away!) and the coffee maker takes round basket filters in case you want to throw in some from home. Washer/dryer was useful, and again three starter packs of Tide are provided. The hotel had a clean crib and high chair for our toddler, as well. With a 2 and 5 year old, the splash pad pool was an absolute dream. We didn’t really use the other pools, but they looked nice and not overly crowded – even during our spring break week. We ate at the restaurant on site a couple of times, and while the menu offers pretty basic pizza, burgers, quesadillas, etc., the food was fresh and reasonably priced. We booked our package through Costco Travel and thought we got decent value for the money. Our villa location was less than ideal (a view of a mechanical room at one end and an air conditioning unit at the other) – but I suspect if you’re a time share owner or have booked directly through IHG, you might have better luck. Regardless, the villa itself made up for the location. As other reviews have noted, the huge downside of this resort is the very thin walls/ceilings. Luckily the people above us shared our similar early to bed, early to rise schedule – so it didn’t bother us too much – but you really can hear everything. The unit next to us had a party with loud music on our last night, leading to very poor sleep – but security did come by and ask them to turn the music off. If you are sensitive to sounds, definitely don’t book here – or pack good ear plugs. Overall, we managed and would consider staying again if we could get a top floor unit.
Wonderful two bedroom suites with friendly and professional staff.

Very pleased with the two bedroom suite through my Holiday Inn Club Vacation Ownership Points. Their staff, Manny, made sure we had an ADA access ramp to our room when I called to confirm our stay approxi...mately two months in advance. Their food service and bartender team were so friendly and helpful. The grounds are so well maintained. It was a wonderful experience for all four of us seniors. We will be back.
