A tropical paradise!

Mrs_R_Dale (London, United Kingdom) on Aug 14, 2024

From breakfast in the jungle, to amazing lionfish suppers in the sand, every aspect of this holiday was exceptional. I have never stayed anywhere so immersed in nature; from fabulous birds and singing frogs to amazing sea life on the reef. The staff at Anse Chastenet really made my first trip to the Caribbean perfect, especially the work they did to make us feel safe and informed during the hurricane. They went above and beyond - I have never experienced service like that. I can't wait to return!

Great staff and amenities. The food was fantastic, large variety for every taste and restriction. Really enjoyed the beach areas. Awesome dive/boat crew. The sunset and other views are wonderful. Having in room tablet and a phone was really a nice addition. Plan to return again

Lovely spot in St Lucia

chuckles5310 (Belleville, Illinois) on Jul 28, 2024

This was a very nice place to stay overall. I went with a large group to scuba dive as the primary purpose of the trip. My roommate and I, along with another couple, were in the hillside rooms while the rest of the group were in the beachside rooms. Unfortunately, the hillside rooms do not have air conditioning while the beachside rooms do. However, since we were out and about for the majority of the day, it wasn't much of a deal. There were several ceiling fans along with a floor fan. Housekeeping came twice a day with general service in the late morning/early afternoon and a turndown service in the evening to put down the mosquito netting and light mosquito repellent coils; it made the room very cozy to come back to. Beds and pillows were okay. Were a bit on the hard side, which is not my preference, but again, not a big deal. I will give extra points to the consideration of amenities in the room. There were 2 cans of bug spray, eye masks, and ear plugs. There was also a Nespresso machine with various coffees, along with a water kettle, should you want tea. There were always bottles of water in the mini fridge. There were also banana bread muffins and a honey and lime mixer (and 2 mini bottles of local rum) as a welcome gift/snack. Water pressure everywhere was excellent. Hot water (if you wanted) came quickly. Nice shampoo/body wash and conditioner. The room taps dripped for a while after use. Food was very nice!!!!!!!! Dinner was no short of an experience. Every dish was artistically plated. There was an Indian-Caribbean fusion restaurant on the beach. It also had more-American fare. Lunch was served there as a buffet, but you could order off a menu if you wanted. There was also an international-vegan restaurant up the hill. Breakfast was served there, mainly as an European-style buffet, but there was also a menu, if you wanted. There were many activities to partake in including: yoga, art classes, chocolate tasting, hiking, plantation tours, and a spa. Unfortunately, I was not able to partake in many of these because of the scuba schedule, but they looked great. The only thing I didn't care for were the stairs from the beach to the hill restaurant. This was mostly because the stairs were built from the natural landscape so each step had a different depth and height. However, this could be avoided by calling for a shuttle. Overall, this was a very nice experience, and I would go back if offered.

Wonderful Stay & Vegetarian treat

thegarrettgang (Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany) on Jul 05, 2024

Awesome resort. Loved the vegan, vegetarian, and Indian menus (so rare to find). Great snorkeling with everything provided by resort. Quiet beach, especially the second beach location, and peaceful place to sit under shade as waves gently roll in. We enjoyed open air rooms and only got nibbled on by bugs during early evenings outside the too when we didn’t use the provided bug repellent. Overall a fantastic all inclusive experience.
