As a flight attendant I have experienced from a 5 star hotel and resort to a motel in the red line district of Detroit. Staying at the Hilton Barbados is a privilege with amazing beaches and crystalline po...ols. It’a a great hotel. I am aware we are not guaranteed the best rooms nor rooms with ocean views. I am content with a clean quiet room; but when i stepped out to my balcony with a partial ocean view i was satisfied until i looked down on what seemed like a carport. I was facing the parking lot. My morning reverie was stopped bu the debri of old shoes, clothing, trash and dried leaves on the carport. Is this a Hilton resort? Doesn’t anyone from maintenance or housekeeping look down? I showed my photos to the receptionist who assured me she would bring to the attention of the proper department, Let’s hope so

We stayed here for one night before departing on a cruise. Whilst the hotel is handy for the cruise terminal it is tired dated and is let down by really poor customer service. The views were nice and the b...ed comfortable, the service in the beach bar and restaurant was bad. Getting served in the first place is a challenge and then food and drinks are delivered with a shrug and requests for things like sauces and milk for coffee are noted but the requested items never arrive. Milk and sugar for drinks seem to be a particular challenge - I waited 20 minutes for milk & sugar at breakfast and in the beach bar, I certainly wouldn't stay here longer than one night and, if travelling again, will definitely stay elsewhere. VERY expensive for what it is and, I think, trading on brand reputation rather than the hotel itself.
