ONE OF THE FRIENDLIEST HOTELS ON THE ISLAND!
terryrothery (Billericay, Essex) on Nov 25, 2024
We have visited this hotel some twenty times over the years and have seen it go from strength to strength! The staff are brilliant. Janique Mason the operations manager is always around and a pleasure to deal with. The reception staff are excellent and so helpful, especially Valencia and Wilma to name just two! The bedrooms are spacious and most have amazing views of the beaches and pools. You can request the type of pillows you require. In our cases, soft! There is a delightful coffee shop in the lobby that has a great choice of snacks and ice creams. As for pool-side entertainment. Wow!!!! Every evening features entertainment, with excellent singers and music while you sip away at your “Happy hour” drinks between 5pm and 6pm. It’s a must! There are plenty of taxis for when you want to go out and about. B$25, about £10.50, minimum charge will get you to a few nice restaurants. The Cliff restaurant is around B$60 each way. There are three restaurants in the hotel and a bar by the lobby that has “Happy hour” every evening between 7pm and 8pm. There is an excellent gym. It would be rather remiss of me if I didn’t mention the general manager, Jacques Monteil. He really has turned this hotel around during his two and a half years here! We will return to our “second home” early next year!
Fine for a short stay but a bit soulless

We’d been on Barbados in a villa with family for two weeks but wanted a night nearer the airport as we had a late night flight home. We stayed just one night, it’s perfectly fine, we had a nice dinner in The lighthouse restaurant and the room was comfy with 2 double beds, and the pool and private each is nice enough. It’s just a bit soulless, a massive hotel that could be anywhere. You don’t get the full Bajan experience, I.e great food, scenery and local culture. This hotel is fine for a short stay, but at over 40O$US a night it’s expensive.
