We had an excellent experience our first time in Grand Cayman at the Westin 7 mile and would definitely come back again. Hotel: the hotel itself was clean and well appointed. From the start, our checkin using the elite desk was quick (under 10 mins) and the staff were friendly and helpful. Common areas were clean and well staffed. The gift shop had a nice selection of clothing and souvenirs at reasonable prices. Beach & Pool: The beach and pool areas were clean and we never had an issue getting a lounger by the pool or beach. Drink and food service was impeccable. We loved their use of wireless clickers, when beach side, to request a drink or food. Service was very quick and the drinks were well made - and strong! We rented a cabana on the beach each day, which came with a power outlet and a mini fridge for waters or other drinks - it was the perfect place to homebase for the day as I don’t care much to sit in the beating sun like my wife. They aren’t cheap, $400 for the day (less if you go with their standard cabana that doesn’t have as many amenities) - but well worth the money, and highly recommended, especially if you have a group of people or children). Food: Room service food was also very good and delivered quickly, in most cases under 30 mins. The steak frites was amazing as was the turkey club sandwich. We dined at Ferdinand’s for breakfast and dinner, which offered a similar menu to room service. You can do the buffet for breakfast, but ordering off the menu was often cheaper, unless you’re starving. Poolside food came from another restaurant, Tortuga Bar/Grill and offered a wider selection of food, but equally delicious. Food portions were generous and we never had a bad meal. If I had to give feedback, I would have liked to order food from Tortugas to the room, we were there 8 days so the in room dining options got old after a few days. But you can order pool side and take back to your room. Spa: DO THE COUPLES MASSAGE! It was amazing and reasonably priced. We were greeted immediately and each given time to change and use the sauna and steam room before meeting back up to be taken to our room. The massage room had a huge inground hot tub, with ambient lighting, a small bottle of Prosecco and we spent 30 mins soaking before getting the best massages we’ve had in a long time. Room: We stayed in the Presidential Suite, room 300, which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living area with a dining table and 6 seats, and a very large veranda. The veranda was HUGE, like 750 sq ft huge, and included several high top tables with umbrellas, a gas fire pit, a grill (which we didn’t use), a large patio couch, and several lounge chairs. This room literally is on the beach and we had an excellent view of the sunsets and beach/ocean. We spent several nights dining out on the patio as the sun set. Room rate will vary, but my wife is the president of her firm and we got the room at a discount since we had her conference there with 100 plus attendees. Westins website lists the room at $7k a night, which is crazy, but we didn’t pay anywhere near that. We’ve stayed at many upscale hotels, and while the room was amazing, it wasn’t $7k a night amazing. I couldn’t find many pictures of the room online before arriving, so I posted many for those interested. If you have a large family and the means - I highly recommend the room. Pro tips: buy an insulated cup from the gift shop and use it poolside for drinks. It’ll keep your drinks cold, seems like ice melts quickly and no one likes a warm pina colada. I’d hand my tumbler to the bartender and they’d make it right in the tumbler. There’s a sports bar across the street that’s good along with a small cafe for breakfast. There’s also a liquor store and gift store in the same strip. Check out the gift store if you want some souvenirs or swim shoes, snorkels, etc. Overall we absolutely loved staying at this location and would definitely recommend it to others. Hotel feedback: My only suggestion for the hotel would be to spruce up the outdoor couch cushions on the veranda to our room. They were dry rotted and uncomfortable to sit on in a swimsuit - not to mention it looked bad paying so much for the room, to have ratty furniture. Same for the grill area outdoor cupboards - the doors were broke and off kilter. These are your flagship rooms and people paying the high price for this room don’t expect to see things in that condition. Again, it didn’t take away from our stay, but it was noticeable enough to remark on it.
Great 1 week stay!

We stayed for 1 week. The location is wonderful and the staff were top notch. Everyone was friendly and did a great job. We ate at the buffet in the mornings and the servers all were on top of things and the food was great. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas at the beach and pool. Room was very quiet and housekeeping was fantastic. Easy walk to grocery, restaurants and stores. We had a car so that was very helpful in exploring the island. We only ate 1 meal at the resort (other than breakfast). The resort fee covers a variety of things-there were always fun activities at the pool for kids. I did yoga on the beach 5 days a week which is included in the resort fee. The yoga instructors were amazing! If you bring a book and finish it-there is a library on the 2nd floor to browse and leave a book. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay on Seven mile beach.
