Aston at the Waikiki Banyan has scheduled upcoming maintenance, renovation and modernization projects which may impact guest accommodations.
Elevator Modernization Project
- Elevator modernization work will commence on April 22, 2024, and continue through April 30, 2025.
- Work will be limited to Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Each elevator will take approximately 13 weeks to modernize.
- Each tower has four elevators, and only one elevator will be out of order at a time. Therefore, throughout this project, there should be three remaining elevators in each tower in operation for use by owners and guests.
6th Floor Recreation Deck Restroom Renovation
- Work has already started and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, will be completed by May 27, 2024.
- Work will be limited to Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- While the project is ongoing, the 6th floor restrooms and the sauna will be closed.
- The BBQs and recreation deck remain accessible for all owners and guests. The pool and Jacuzzis will remain open for use until the Annual Pool & Jacuzzi Maintenance project (described below) begins.

Overview

The Waikiki Banyan is a classic Waikiki experience, with a prime location and a vibrant social atmosphere. However, potential renters should be aware of a significant drawback: some units still permit smok...ing. This can be a deal-breaker for many, especially those with sensitivities or families. The building offers standard amenities like laundry facilities, a convenience store, and parking (though parking can be expensive). Many units offer stunning ocean views, Diamond Head, or the city skyline. However, the presence of smoking units is a significant concern. If you're sensitive to smoke, you'll need to be extremely diligent in confirming the smoking policy of any unit you consider. If you can secure a non-smoking unit and you are looking for a social atmosphere, the Waikiki Banyan may be a good option. Be sure to research individual units thoroughly and read recent reviews to clearly understand what to expect.

Nice, large ocean view, one bedroom on higher floor with fully working kitchen. Very nice staffs. it is a very large hotels with many floors (38 floors for each of the two towers). however, there are o...nly limited number or elevators and some of them were under repaired. Had to spend a considerable amount of time waiting for elevator.
