Aston at the Waikiki Banyan has scheduled upcoming maintenance, renovation and modernization projects which may impact guest accommodations.
Elevator Modernization Project
- Elevator modernization work will commence on April 22, 2024, and continue through April 30, 2025.
- Work will be limited to Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Each elevator will take approximately 13 weeks to modernize.
- Each tower has four elevators, and only one elevator will be out of order at a time. Therefore, throughout this project, there should be three remaining elevators in each tower in operation for use by owners and guests.
6th Floor Recreation Deck Renovation
Please note the closure of the 6th floor recreation deck facilities that will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025 for an upcoming renovation project, with a projected end date of June 30, 2026.
During this time, there will be no access to the following 6th floor facilities: the swimming pool, jacuzzi, playground, BBQ area and grills. However, the recently renovated saunas and restrooms will remain open for guest use. Work will be limited to Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Noise from this renovation project, including concrete drilling and spalling of the deck, is expected.

My husband and I stayed here for 9 nights in March 2025. We booked a Mountain View room, but ended up getting an ocean view. The check in process was easy and the staff were all vey friendly. We had a on...e bedroom room with a full kitchen and the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was a little out dated, but clean. It was nice having a full kitchen so we didn't have to eat every mean out. House keeping came every 3 days; however if we needed clean towels or extra coffee, we just had to call and they would bring it up for us. The beds were comfy and we felt that this place was good value for the money. We loved being able to use the pool and hot tub, which were nice and the area was clean. This hotel is walking distance from a few beaches and there is a ton of restaurants within walking distance. We were able to walk most places and the location was great. We knew this going in, but this hotel has very high resort and parking fees. Be aware of this when booking. We also hated the elevators as they were always packed and very slow. Overall we enjoyed our stay and stay here again.
