ABSOLUTELY DON’T DO THIS

Vacation50214391623 on Dec 28, 2024

My husband and I booked this because we always travel on New Year’s. Gave this a try this year. Do NOT do this. We travel probably 100 days a year. Have never complained about a room. It’s generally comfortable and fine. We paid $1200 extra for a 1 bedroom suite with a “partial sea view”. If you want to “see” one molecule of the Pacific from your upgrade, this is your place. That’s not the worst part. The worst is how we were treated. We went down and asked for what we paid for. Kenia told us we could have what we paid for if we checked out at 11 in the morning and checked back in at 4. Ok. Fine. But not thrilled. She also tells us they have no computers and haven’t had them for a month. So they don’t know who is checking in and out and when (the literal only job of a hotel?). Then, we went back to our room and didn’t have water. Now I’ve had it. Called the front desk, who told us that maintenance would have it up shortly. Went to front desk who sent me to Ivan. The absolute biggest a-hole you will ever encounter. This 30 year old man child sat there smugly and told me that he can’t do anything for me and it doesn’t matter that he can’t because I’m stuck in a 9 day reservation. I tried to negotiate with him in every way I know how. He was smug the entire time, knowing I was stuck and he didn’t intend to help. As I was leaving, I said “Ivan, even if you can’t help me, you could at least acknowledge that my issues have value and tell me to have a good night”. The way this man looked at me and sarcastically told me to have a good night had me ready to serve time in a Mexican jail for assaulting him. No joke. My husband had to come get me with security. Don’t do this. This place is a joke. Don’t risk it. Don’t stay here. They are far more interested in building the new thing than making good on the current thing. Which, fine. But it is criminal to charge people regular resort fees to enjoy things you don’t actually get (plumbing, the room you actually booked). They should discount this resort until they rebuild, shut it down entirely until the new one is ready, or make some sort of plan. I feel badly saying this because other than Ivan, everyone has been incredible. The food and beverage staff are fantastic. Joaquin, Cesar, Augustin and Sergio have done everything to make our short stay amazing. But let’s be honest. You can’t operate a hotel that has no plumbing, no ability to know who is checking in or out and no ability to stick to what someone booked. Just avoid it. There’s no reason to come here

Amazing resort in PV

Sulagna M on Dec 28, 2024

The resort was very hospitable and beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They consistently made sure you are comfortable and happy with your experience. Food was delicious, you have to try the Mexican restaurant if you go, it had the best tacos, quesadillas, etc. There is also an ice cream and coffee place that is always open and the restaurants are basically open the whole day so you’ll never be hungry. The concierge team of Magali, Martin, Mago, and Malena definitely made our experience fulfilling. Magali was super understanding and basically planned out our activities outside of the resort.
