The 424-room, family-friendly Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach is an all-inclusive resort located halfway between Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen in Riviera Maya. This holiday complex is perfectly integrated into the tropical landscape.
Unlimited access to the facilities at sister hotel Iberostar Paraiso del Mar. Day pass from 9am to 6pm included at Iberostar Quetzal and Iberostar Cozumel (transportation not included)

Just wanna say , this place is amazing. We are at beach and food staff cleanliness beach. Seriously everything is amazing.and we are pickey but I fell on love with this place. Special shout out to Rudi or... Rudy at valet. He is so amazing and made sure we were taken care of. What a nice soul. Till next time. We are leaving tomorrow ?? ??. We will definitely be back. Also wanna say thank you to Luis Martinez. He was our concierge .
Average resort with subpar service

Starting with the good stuff: Nice property, attractive, and they lean into eco friendly consumption. Beautiful beach Semblance of fun things to do (see note about lines, lines and more lines) Amazing g...ym Nice tennis courts Pretty good shuttle service up and down property. Not so good stuff: Good luck getting a chair unless you are up and chair squatting by 8am. There are chairs for about 50%of the people staying at the resort. Absolutely terrible service around the pool and beach. In my opinion they have staffed this property in such a way as to limit any guest from consuming services (drinks, food, activities). For example, around the pool you can expect the server to come around about once every 90 minutes. If you go to the pool bars, expect to be ignored unless you are holding up $10. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes to get a drink. If you want to talk to anyone about the service on the property, be prepared for every staff member to pass the buck and tell you to talk to someone else. Food is average across the board. Not terrible, not good. Expect to find many parts of the property in disrepair. For example, faucets in the bathrooms attached to lunch buffet not working (no ability to wash hands), lights in the pool falling out of their casings, toilets around property don’t flush properly. There are many activities listed in the daily schedules but due to lack of staff, good luck actually doing them. For example, if you want to wait more than 90 minutes to shoot a BB gun at a target, this place is for you. Every restaurant, in every situation has a line. Reservation or not, expect to wait 15+ minutes to get a table. Overall: This place looks like it might be good. It’s pretty and has a long list of things that should be fun. But because of the way they deliberately understaff this property, the fun things (and really the basics of decent service) are not accessible. If you have few extra $, go somewhere better than this.
