Long line up to check in with a human.

We went for my sister-in-laws 65 birthday. When we got to the hotel to check in they had one person at the check in desk and about 6 self check in kiosks. We didn't want wait in the 8 person long line up t...o check in so we tried the kiosk. The kiosk gave us the wrong type of room so we had to wait in the line anyway only to be told we were right about the wrong type of room. The clerk changed to room and asked us if we wouldn't mind going back to the kiosk to check in there so as not to hold up the already long line. This was not a first good impression to have of the hotel. I suggest they put 2 or 3 clerks on to check people in as every time we walked by it was very busy. Other than that we enjoyed the hotel. The pool hours were limited 10-5 but I guess they don't want a bunch of drinkers in the pool later than 5. I would not stay at the Golden Nugget again. I would prefer to stay on the strip as there is much more to do and see. Freemont street is definitely worth going to though.
Spa Suite rooms dirty and not maintained

There casino was enjoyable, but the hotel experience was deeply disappointing. The rooms were poorly maintained and unclean, and the customer service was terrible, showing a complete lack of empathy. I bo...oked Spa Suite 7E, only to discover that the steamer was broken, the bathroom had visible dirt and stains, and the bed sheets appeared dingy and dusty. When I raised these concerns, I was initially promised a new room. However, when I went to collect the key, I was suddenly informed that no other suites were available. After hours of escalation, I was finally moved the next day—only to find that the new room was also not fully prepared. The draperies didn’t work, the box spring was too large for the bed, and the carpet was stained. Shockingly, management was aware of the broken drapery and still assigned me that room. To make matters worse, the bathtub leaked, and the toilet ran for 20–30 minutes before flushing properly. I contacted the leadership team, but no one responded. There was no apology for ruining my anniversary weekend, and no refund could compensate for the lost time on my vacation. I was unable to rest and even missed an excursion due to the hotel's poor customer service.
