Golden nugget. Never again

First of all….Check in is a nightmare. Then you have rude, dismissive staff. We finally get to the room. Nice. But there’s a venue across the street that is so loud. Sooooo loud. The nugget will give you ear plugs, but that doesn’t stop the bass vibrating through the rooms. Honestly just an awful experience. Give me Chicago or New York any day
Good Hotel, great location, rooms were excellent apart from one issue noted in the review.

For context, we stayed in the Gold Tower with a room over the atrium. Pro’s - Location is ideal. Right on top of Fremont Street and close to downtown Las Vegas and some decent restaurants - All the staff were helpful, friendly and courteous - The room we had was massive with very comfortable beds - Fridge in the room was a massive bonus - Late checkout was offered for a fee ($50 until 3 or $30 until 1) which is really helpful if you have a late flight. - Pool slide is a fun novelty and the pool is nice - Despite the proximity to Fremont, there was very little residual noise. Our room was on the fourth floor and despite having free earplugs provided by the hotel, we felt no need to use them as the noise was not an issue. - They also had a very quick and efficient laundry service Cons - The Bathroom door design was flawed. It was a sliding door, however it was coming off its hinges and didn’t close properly. Also it had a frosted glass window, which only afforded semi privacy. Fine if you’re on your own but if you’re sharing it’s not ideal. - Whilst the pool area is nice, it’s quite small. After 3pm (in October anyway) it’s mostly in the shade. We stayed here for When We Were Young festival and the location was ideal. Just a short cab ride to the site and the deuce bus back up the strip was dead easy. Fremont had all the fun after parties (check out the Cats Meow) and in my opinion it is much more down to earth than the south to Vegas, with plenty of reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Overall it’s a good hotel, and apart from the bathroom door issue, the room was very comfortable and got the job done. If I were to come back to Vegas, I’d gladly stay here again but maybe I’d upgrade to the Rush tower.
