Horrific Stay at SeaGardens Hotel

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at SeaGardens Hotel. I had made a wire transfer payment in advance, yet upon check-in, the manager on duty dismissed my payment and refus...ed to allow me to check in until the transaction was reflected in their bank accounting system. Despite providing clear proof that the funds were already in the hotel's account, my payment was not acknowledged, and I was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. This led to a humiliating and frustrating encounter in the hotel lobby, where other guests overheard the exchange. The manager showed no willingness to resolve the issue professionally and treated me as if I were at fault. As a result of the hotel’s inflexibility and poor customer service, I was left with no choice but to pay a second time using a credit card—two hours later—just to be granted access to my room. No apology was extended for the inconvenience, nor was there any effort made to rectify the situation at the time. To make matters worse, one of the two payments had to be reversed, yet the refund process was not handled in a timely manner. Even now, the hotel has not issued any form of apology or acknowledgment for their mistreatment. Unfortunately, I was unable to change hotels, as all other accommodations were fully booked at the time. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and complete disregard for guest dignity displayed by SeaGardens Hotel is completely unacceptable. I strongly urge hotel management to review their policies, properly train their staff on conflict resolution, and improve their financial processing systems to ensure no other guest has to endure such an experience. This stay was deeply disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others. I expect a formal response and acknowledgment of this matter.

Bell boys great. Good clean hotel. Room suitable except there was NO hot water. Had a total of 4 showers in three weeks that were hot the rest were cold and sometimes no water at all. Complaints fell on de...af ears going right to the management. We looked past that if you wanted to move above a disco. And talked to people staying there and they said they also only had cold water ???? The food in the buffet was ok but very Jamaican selection and the variety was same day after day. There was very little fruit to choose from and sometimes none at all if you got there late. Watermelon was there. No fresh veggies except tomatoes and lettuce. Limited for snack places after 5:30. The dining room staff were very good and always trying to accommodate. The beach staff were also very accommodating. Overall not bad
