Beautiful beach; overall disappointment

Outside of flight delays, we arrived around dinner time - told to go for drinks to wait for bell service that took forever and would continue to take forever the duration of our trip. No guidance on this ...or anything about how dinner would work. (We were exhausted and decided not to eat anyways). Our room had the “pull out couch” set up but a bar across the back was not comfortable and soon understood that it was broken. The room was dated, the shower stall looked like it had not ever been properly cleaned, and the compartment with the mini fridge was wobbly. The pools were great, the food what was expected, and the beach was the best part.
Amazing Tennis and Beach

Our family of four visited the resort from March 12 to the 19th. The beach is simply spectacular; white sand, shallow beach ideal for non-swimmers like me. Played tennis with Miguel every day and it was f...antastic. He is an excellent player and he made my stay at the resort really fun and memorable. My son was also able to play volleyball at the beach almost every day and had a lot of fun doing that. The food is certainly not the best but it’s what it is. The lights did go out a few times, but it eventually came back.
