We had an excellent stay at The Rockley! The management, front desk, and housekeeping staff was very kind, always willing to help and offer a smile. Troy, Terina, and Zion always took time to assist us with recommendations, and even arranged taxis for us. Meantime the decor is a perfect mix of creative and authentic - not fancy or pretentious - rather colourful, welcoming, and artistic. From the moment you pull up to the entrance, the space is welcoming, with a gorgeous pool area to one side and the lounging food and drink area to the other. The kitchen is tucked away behind this area, with a spacious indoor breakfast dining area in front, complete with air-conditioning and a restroom that you can use at any time of day. Let's go inside now up to the room. The junior suite is extremely spacious for two people and would even be so for four (the couch is a pullout). It had a small but fully-equipped kitchen - minus an oven of course - a full bathroom with a raincoast shower (no tub) and a wonderful balcony with beachy ocean views and city sights to the left and right. It had a table and chairs outside, and another set inside, near the couch and spacious sitting area. There were plenty drawers, cupboards, and hangers for clothes, a large TV, a fan, and air conditioning. This room literally had everything, plus the decor was as cheerful as the lobby. The same pretty much goes for amenities at The Rockley. They have a fast, but small, elevator, tokens for beach loungers (umbrella included), fresh beach towels always available (no extra cost), and at least one set of laundry machines on every floor. Did I mention it is free to use? The bar has a decent menu for drinks and food, the food was pretty good, and there are specials at happy hour from 6-7pm each day. Some days they have posted events like a cocktail party with complimentary hors d'oevres, karaoke, and other activities that I can't recall. Probably because we didn't spend much time there. But it was good to know it was available, and great that we could get ice from them too. So, what is missing you might ask? Not much really! If I had to provide honest feedback, I'd say the food and beverage department shows some signs of "tourist fatigue” in the outdoor area (not the breakfast crew). I do appreciate their slower pace, but they just didn't seem quite as happy as the other staff for some reason. More than than one time, I felt like I - and others around us - were "bothering" them. And I'm a pretty cheery and hospitable person. Nonetheless, we still had some great interactions. As for the food, the lunch and dinner offerings were pretty decent. Drinks were good, too, but if the menu says “fresh lime,” I don’t expect cordial. Meantime, it is really convenient to have breakfast included, so I’m super thankful for that, but it would have been nice to see more fresh fruit and vegetables available, aside from a few melon wedges. The option to order plain eggs instead of scrambled was a thoughtful touch, however the daily donut-hole fritters were a "no" for me, and the coffee was not great, including the espresso-based options available for purchase. The breakfast service, however, was exceptional. So, really, there’s just a tiny bit of room for improvement, but the whole experience was wonderful overall!

Stayed at The Rockley along with 9 nine others to celebrate my 40th birthday and my partner’s 36th birthday. From the time we arrived we were greeted with excellent service. Troy and the entire front desk staff welcomed our entire party with open arms. And the complimentary rum was a great touch. Big shoutout to Shequan and the entire bar and wait staff who took care of us every day at the bar and at breakfast. The room was even better than pictured and provided ample space to relax. It was also decorated nicely in honor of the birthday celebrations. Only negative was the water pressure but we made it work. The proximity to restaurants and to St Lawrence Gap was perfect! With the beach and boardwalk right across the street to enjoy and talk a stroll. All in all if you’re looking for a great place to stay definitely stay at The Rockley. I know I will.
Great location and staff

We had a great stay at The Rockley with the standouts being the staff, the location and the value. The staff are super friendly and helpful and always make you feel welcome. The location is perfect for some great restaurants and shops, has a taxi rank opposite for getting around, and has an amazing beach across the road with complimentary sunbed tokens. Lunch was a little pricey but so is Barbados as a whole and the food was of great quality, but the cost for board and breakfast was very good value. There were elements of the room that could have done with a refresh but minor things and everything was always kept clean.

Loved our stay at the Rockley. Good location only 20 minutes drive from the airport and on a well connected strip of road that runs along the coast. Golden sand beach in a spacious quiet bay just across the road from the hotel with complementary lounger and parasol for hotel guests. All the staff so friendly, clean rooms with everything you could need and more. Had an issue with the a/c in our room and as they couldn't fix it they moved us to another room without any quibbles.
