Disappointing. Save your money!!! We go to all inclusives 2-3 times a year and have been doing this for many years so we know good and bad. We thought we’d try a Sandals. We now realize that spending more doesn’t mean it’s better. The staff were the worst service I have ever experienced. Don’t expect pool side service, it doesn’t exist. They all seemed miserable and worked at a snails pace. It’s like they’re trained to ignore you. The people who own it must be rich because there haven’t been updates in years. You were lucky to find a washroom that locked. The washrooms definitely need updating. They put us in a room at the back of the resort. The shower heads were old and scaled and barely let the water out. We love the pool bar but most were closed. The one that was open had an upper level where the four servers spent all their time ignoring the pool guests below. When you called up requesting a drink you were lucky if you didn’t get the stink eye. The pools could definitely use a daily skimming as bugs and trees were in it every day. There wasn’t an evening buffet so you had to go to a restaurant which is fine. Breakfast was always a buffet. Whatever you do DON’T ORDER ROOM SERVICE. We didn’t get everything we ordered and the Caesar salad was soggy and limp and the crackers were stale. Good stuff: we liked the Italian restaurant and the pizza by the pool bar was delicious! Unfortunately, most guests I spoke to had the same disappointments as I did. We made the best of it but I’d never return or go to another Sandals again.
Service really lets it down

Really well maintained grounds and a great setting but we found the service to be severely lacking and far short of what you’d expect from a 5 star resort. No one offering a pool side service or clearing up during the day, for example, and consistently not enough beach towels. There’s also a lack of outdoor evening dining options so we chose to dine elsewhere to allow us to enjoy the lovely weather, as opposed to suffering the overly cold air conditioning. Bars close at 10pm other than the unappealing sports bar style option.
