Disappointing definitely not 5 *

We were apprehensive before we came due to reviews saying not enough towels or beds , and rude staff , we didn’t experience any of this plenty towels plenty beds , and polite staff ! What we did experienc...e was below average food and drinks ! Especially at lunch times most were inedible !! We found the main pool, Royal side dirty white scum around the pool slippery lots of people slipped lucky they didn’t hurt themselves , Men’s toilets urinals not working after several complaints still not fixed my husband asked to see the manager to address this situation he said he was unaware , later found out that he was ! The grounds were well kept but wash rooms were dirty often no soap either, overall not clean , On a good note our room was lovely and spacious plenty of towels that’s as good as it gets I’m afraid I won’t be coming to sandals anymore this is my 5 time ( been to others ) but will sadly be our last ! This is no way a 5 star establishment 3 * holiday village at best ,

Highlights of our 5 days: Our butlers were phenomenal. Daquan, Donald, and Shaakira went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and smooth. Still can't thank them enough for all their time and effort. ... The room was beautiful—South Seas Royal Rondoval Butler Suite w/ Private Pool Sanctuary. Great room, nice "backyard," and gave us a feeling of privacy. And huge shoutout to all the professionals who kept the room clean and welcoming throughout the stay. Note about the bed: We found the mattress a little harder than we would have liked, but your mileage may vary. In-room dining (one breakfast and light afternoon meals) was smooth, fast, and pleasant. Bartenders across the resort were great: welcoming, professional, and consistently good with their mixes. Our Red Lane spa visit was nice and relaxing. Arraigned travel to and from the resort was smooth and they made entering the island much easier. Dinners were hit-and-miss. The good: La Parisienne (French), Chi (asian fusion), and Kimonos (hibachi). Food was great, and service was timely. The bad: American Bar and Grill (American) and Butch's (steakhouse). The vibe of American was off-putting and service at Butch's was slow and chaotic. Staff interactions varied from welcoming and inviting to coolly professional to dispassionate, bordering on being annoyed that we were there.
