Beautiful modern hotel with an outstanding pool. The entire staff was amazing, really went above and beyond, especially Eric, the porter and Tricia. The reason for the missing star: lack of a beautiful beach and rooms are on the small side.

We stayed a week at the Alaia in the “older” timeshare side in a 2BR/2BA condo. Very spacious and all the amenities for a nice stay. It’s on the quieter side of the property away from the main pool. Around 100 yards from the on site dive shop, which is a bonus if you have an early departure. The suites are starting to age a bit. Fixtures could use some updating. Bring mosquito spray! We did ask them to spray around our front door daily and that helped keep the hundreds of mosquitos from entering the suite. Lots of people have asked about the sea wall construction. My wife and I just spent 10 amazing days at the ALAIA. The most wonderful thing about it were the people who worked there. They were super helpful, friendly and authentic. This by far was our best Caribbean vacation. I would like to thank Elvis, Stacey, Eric. Duane, Eduardo, Benny, Alberto, Maria, Yara and all of the employees who made our trip to Belize. UnBelizable. God bless you all and we hope our paths cross again.

While celebrating the holidays we chose to stay at Alai. Service is 5/5. Starting with a warm welcome and assistance during the stay from Elvis. At the pool I was pleasantly surprised by great fish tacos and jerk chicken. While relaxing at the pool I drank delightful pinacoladas served by Caroline - she kept the drinks coming. Audinett gave the most amazing hot stone massage at the spa. Stacey at the front desk went above and beyond responding to my questions. A nice touch was music by Lena on the flute. Loved the option for live music while dining as well as a lively DJ Friday and Saturday night. Javier provided outstanding service during breakfast and Nick served complimentary wellness drinks. Nice touch. Service is 5/5…property is beautiful. Improving the walkout beach would take their ratings to the next level.

Elvis took very good care of us and our luggage. Even thru the rain! He remembered us each day and said hello. The hotel was beautiful. The restaurant food was fantastic! The rooms were stocked with water each day and were cleaned well. The staff was friendly and willing to help. It was extremely easy to access the Pro Dive Center.
