Wonderful hotel with excellent amenities. What makes this hotel so special is the truly exceptional staff who are courteous, attentive and go out of their way to ensure guests are having the best experience possible. Special thanks to Blanca who took such great care of us by the pool and Yonnie for the delicious drinks at the Beach Bar. Shout out to Adrienne (Sea Salt) and Martin (pool). You all were amazing!

We absolutely enjoyed our couples getaway at this beautiful resort. The staff is very attentive and helpful and ensure that your stay is first class. The rooms are lovely and clean. Being on the beach was a plus and within walking distance to many other restaurants but you really don’t have to leave the resort. Shout out to Elvis for taking great care of us.

The staff are all amazing! From emails planning our arrival, honeymoon package, and excursions (Hortencio), to the front desk staff (Jolene), pool staff, and restaurant staff. The food was EXCELLENT! The pools & cabanas were so relaxing. The room had an amazing view. We booked the honeymoon package and every detail made us feel VIP. Greeted with champagne, flowers & chocolate in the room, romantic dinner on the beach, massages, and the BEST part was the private boat excursion to snorkel Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley by the Barrier Reef. Rum punch, fresh conch plucked from the ocean to make ceviche, and Go Slow vibes on Caye Caulker. It was so perfect. The only reason my review is not 5 stars is that there was no beach access (they are working on it though!) and the resort is a bit out of town. Not really walkable to explore the local area, but you can rent a golf cart. Although we were no brave enough to try! :-)

Second time at Alaia and it was as great if not better than the first time. We were greeted by Elvis with cold eucalyptus towels and welcome drinks! From the amazing food at Sea Salt’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The great poolside service and our favorite person Eric who is always a joy to talk too, I will never stay at any other resort when in San Pedro!

Just spent a week at this hotel, stayed in one of the 2 bedroom ocean front. Beach is very nice, but limited swim spots. We ate out alot and had lunch at the hotel. Food was never consistent, but burgers were great. Cleaning was never consistent, always had to phone for items. For such a high end hotel they should heat the pool a bit so you could actually stay in it longer then 2 min .i have stayed at many Marriotts not sure if i would stay here again. There are certain things i look for especially for this price. Staff were pleasant no complaints there. But i like a nice pool that you can relax inand maybe swim a bit .
