Tackiest pool experience ever

Don't expect to use this pool unless you're looking for the tackiest situation you've ever experienced. We were looking to get out of the Calgary July heat so booked a staycation here. Booked the hotel for Saturday/Sunday and pool visits for both days. We had read that the pool could be a bit of a party place on the weekends but we're used to booking pool spots in Vegas and assumed this would be the same. We were wrong. This is a very small pool positively teeming with drunken people hitting on each other. It's basically a meat market in water. Do not go to this hotel for anything but a hook up. We ended up cancelling our Sunday reservations and not staying the night in the hotel as it seemed so sleazy. The front desk service was poor (apparently they were experiencing technical issues but no one ever acknowledged this to us) and the room that we were given (despite paying for an upgraded King balcony view room) was not good and the phone in the room didn't even work. We were supposed to have a $100 food/beverage credit but the front desk staff messed that up so we had to pay full price for our food/beverages by the pool. We were at the pool for well over an hour (of our 3 hour allotted time) before staff even brought towels for us to use (despite us mentioning the need for towels several times).

I have stayed at hotel arts 3 times and every time is great. The pool is the main reason I enjoy going there. Makes you feel like you are truly on a holiday.
