We stayed here for 11 nights, and the hotel was actually OK in terms of cleanliness and service. However, in the pool area, we were rather rudely told that the umbrellas and loungers weren't allowed to be ...moved. This meant we couldn't get enough shade, even though we were already sunburned. The pool attendant commented that we were in Hawaii, and we should expect some sun. This has never happened to me before, and hence my negative review. The hotel management urgently needs to change this.
Great location. Old and outdated, but the location makes up for it.

Excellent location. Everything we needed was in walking distance or a block from public transport. We had a partial ocean view from our room on the 7th floor. The room was old and dated, air con very noi...sy and pitiful water pressure in the shower, however the bed and pillows were so soft and comfy. They only made up our room every second day. Pool towels available, small pool, but plenty of seating and shade. Great restaurant and bar near the pool. The service on check in was long and nothing special. We did have a great stay here, but it was mostly for the location.
WORST PLACE EVER

The best part of my stay was the pool and restaurant staff, however that is where it ends. The rooms are filthy, the bathroom was covered in hair, dust and ants, bugs were found in our bed and the carpet w...as stained all over. Security banged on our door several times one night (before we had chance to get out of bed even) to say our smoke alarms had been set off, he came in and could smell burning plastic which we too could smell & he advised this was from our adapters as he had this issue before. We unplugged them and he told us he had saved us $500, which at the time we found rude because how we were to know that? We had brought the correct adapters from the airport. We could then smell the burning through the aircon unit so called front desk who then swapped our room. The night we get into our new room, the same happens again, but this time they are refusing to wave the fee and are essentially not listening to our VALID reason that we also gave them the night before and they were aware of? We have tried to complain, however they have no complaint forms, we have spoken to the general manager who is nothing but rude and very patronising and wouldn’t listen to the explanation given and is refusing to give us the $500 fee back for this, on top of the already extortionate resort fee - which FYI it is not a resort. I have resulted in contacting their management company and reporting to my bank as they simply take the money from your bank without even consulting you on it. Honestly really put a dampener on our honeymoon, supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime and instead met by money grabbers. DO NOT GO HERE. I will update on this!!!!!
Awesome Stay at the Twin Fin
Vince S on May 09, 2025
I was pleasantly surprised by the Twin Fin, affordable, fair priced and offered so much. Love the activities such as lei making and Yoga. Room was great, service was great, location was the best as its... right across the street from the beach and so many dining and shopping options. The restaurant/bar Tiki's offered great appetizers and drinks. Favorite was the Sunset martini thus book a table on the terrace at sunset. Truly breathtaking. I'm a Honolulu native who lives on the mainland and went there with friends who still live on the island and could have been the great drinks but we were all captivated watching the sunset. If there was something they can improve is the check out process. Maybe offer digital checkouts, TV/Phone Text, Key Drop or other options to check out. The line was a little long since everyone was checking out at the same time. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Overall great stay. Great views!

Overall, it was good. I'd stay here again. Pros: -Views. Ocean, Partial Ocean, Diamond Head. All great. -Balcony! I was on a very high floor, so I was actually afraid to stay out there too long. Plus bir...ds loved to visit. :-) Do not leave door open. -Tiki's Bar & Grill (hotel restaurant) had great food. The miso salmon. My gosh! Can't comment on breakfast but it is available. -Water stations. -On strip, near everything. -You can hear the strip at night but for the most part it is quiet. -Beds are comfy! -Small fridge Cons: -No room service. -Beach Candy Surf & Rentals - this is where you pick up your beach gear with your hotel 'credit'. Need to get rentals back by 17:00. LONG LINE. Unless you have a lot of folks in your party and can carry all of that, I'd recommend skipping that and either lay out on your towel or pay 25 usd for beach chair umbrella rental service across the street. That really was a hassle. *Need credit card because they hold a small deposit that you receive back once you return items. -At times, there were long lines to talk to someone at the check-in desk, but I appreciate them taking time out for each customer. -Parking expensive but available.
