Central Location

peachwhit33 (Maui, Hawaii) on Jul 15, 2024

This Sheraton hotel is right in the center of Waikiki. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach by only having to cross the street and walk a short way. There were many nice shops and restaurants nearby. This is a large hotel, but staff were always kind and provided personable service. Our room appeared to be newly remodeled, and everything was clean and comfortable. The bedding was cool and crisp, and we all appreciated the comfy pillows. My youngest daughter had fun playing pool in the lobby, and we wished that we had also played ping pong. I would stay here again for the wonderful location and Sheraton amenities.

Traditionable hotel with friendly service but badly in need of updating

rhkimmunology on Jul 13, 2024

One of the popular hotels in Waikiki built around 70 years ago and very popular among the local visitors & Japanese tourists although it has a good mix of Mainland visitors. The bellmen, front office staff & concierge service were very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Particularly, noteworthy were Lance [host at the restaurant] & server Felix, who were particularly helpful & made our group very welcome. The hotel in located across the street from the beach & the Moana Hotel. Parking was adjacent to the Hotel, making it very convenient, We stayed in the Ainahau Tower on the 22nd floor with a nice view of the beach & ocean. If you are thinking about staying here, this is an older hotel, somewhat noisy being on the main street, in need of updating & hopefully the elevator system will be updated & enlarged. Thee were only 4 small elevators for the Ainahau Tower & one or two were not working. Frequently, thee were lines of 40 or more people in line waiting to get an elevator with a 5 minute wait, This is UNCONSCIONABLE. Further this maybe a safety hazzard.

The view & the awesome Kumi

LisaTay29 (Nusa Dua, Indonesia) on Jul 07, 2024

Started our 3 day holiday to this beautiful island paradise with an awesome flight from Sydney to Hawaii with Qantas . Epic flight only taking 8 1/2 hours. Crew amazing & premium economy was the best. Was suppose to stay with the Alohilani but on arrival there was an issue with my booking. Went over to Princess Sheraton & was met by a smiling Kumi. Kumi was one of the nicest reservation host I’d ever encounter in all my travels. Kumi found us a wonderful room looking into the ocean with diamond head in the back ground Thank you Kumi I will never forget your kindness & understanding on a slightly stressful morning arrival. Room was very clean & housekeeping were just as amazing as Kumi. The view was breathtaking. Would I stay here again? ?? I would. Thank you Kumi without you our stay would have been miserable.

For the money there are nicer stays elsewhere.

shannong562 (Long Beach, California) on Jul 05, 2024

Use some caution when booking. Their ocean view rooms are not anywhere near the picture on their website. We had to get management involved to get a room with a descent view which was weird. They desperately need more shade umbrellas near the pool. So if you plan on relaxing near the pool be ready to be there bright and early to get shade or be prepared to sit in the blazing sun. Two of six of elevators were working which lead to long waits. Ehhh…. For the money maybe there are better stays? The hotel manager was nice to find us a room with a view. Kudos to his professionalism. He deserves a bonus.

Terrible Hotel

Seth K on Jul 02, 2024

The pillows smelled like mildew. The elevators are very loud and you can hear them all night. Don’t bother going for breakfast at the hotel in the morning because you won’t get it for about 40 minutes. In addition the staff does not speak very much English so it is near impossible to explain your needs and talk to them about basic concerns and comments.
