A great place for Mexicans and their large families

Weather consistently hot, long sandy beach for walking, no swimming as waves too big, amazing sunsets and terrific staff. Perfect for Mexican families. As a North American couple it was not ideal for us......Room was comfortable and clean but being situated on main level close to Sports Bar was very noisy late in the evenings. Predominantly Spanish speaking staff...evening shows in Spanish and geared toward children. Food also geared toward Mexican tastes. A la cartes were good. Lots of available beach loungers. Didn't venture into pools as full of children and noisy. Only saw a handful of North American vacationers at this resort. As many other reviews mentioned staff is outstanding and we appreciate all their hard work.

Three couples stayed at the Holiday Inn for two weeks in February. As always- the beach is absolutely beautiful, the weather is consistently hot, and the staff is top notch. I would give all the staff five... stars- they are what keep us coming back. One couple had trouble with bugs in their room- and were eventually upgraded to an ocean front room. That was a perfect resolution. Well done! The weather was very hot- so air conditioning had a hard time keeping up- but kept the rooms cool enough. The food at the buffets were good, and the breakfast always had a lot to offer. Rosario and Lourdes always went out of their way to be helpful. The Fiestas were quite an undertaking for staff and were much enjoyed. The ala carte restaurants at night were the real stars of the show. The food offered there was top notch- both in presentation and taste! Well done! The beach is always beautiful- and Carlos and his beach service is unrivaled. He keeps you hydrated with water along with bringing you your drinks. My only true negative was at breakfast one day I had my beach bag at my feet and a cat wandered through, stopped at my bag, and peed on it. I spoke to a manager in a light purple shirt at the beach bar/restaurant just to let them know what had happened and that I was disappointed in what happened since I had to throw my new bag away. They took my room number- and that was that. I was hoping they might offer me one from their gift shop since they asked for my room number- but I was wrong. Kudos to the amazing staff- they keep the Holiday Inn a place to return to.
