Back after 8 years...
DBuentel (Monterrey, Mexico) on Sep 08, 2024
It was 8 years ago when we last visited the resort and wanted to give it another try because we had a certain nostalgia so we decided to come back. In general the hotel is a nice place to stay and has all that is needed to have a good time to enjoy the Pacific. Unfortunately you can see that time has done its part and no doubts it requires some maintenance to be done to it. Nothing in particular, is just that it feels the hotel is going old. On the other hand one of the best things we have enjoyed back then and is confirmed again this time is the service; the staff is excellent and are always there to help you and be sure all you need is provided. I would like to extend my gratitude to Rocio and Juan de Dios on reception, they were great in every moment. On breakfast, please be sure to take care of Mrs Rosario, she is great and makes your breakfast times wonderful with great conversation and always pending what you may need. And our very special thanks to Paco Benitez (I even memorized his lastname!) Paco welcomed us when we arrived and really saw took care of us and fed us! We were starving and he realized that so promptly brought good food to us all and drinks so we could be back on our feet again after an 8 transit from home to Ixtapa. We were lucky to have him several times taking care of our meals and on our last day he had to take over waitering on the pool and it was great, he of course took care of everyone in the pool but he went the extra mile every time, so please be sure to extend him our gratitude and appreciation. Thank you guys and look forward to soon come back and see if renewals take place to make the place better to everyone.
Worse than Awful

I Would rate a zero if possible. The place is disgusting. I hate it! The rooms and grounds don’t look anything like these fotos. We have no hot water in our room. Maintenance has been here and solved nothing. The bathroom looks like a public gas station bathroom, fully equipped with bug larvae. My husband and I have to work (online) for the 1st 2 days of our vacation. They claim to have room service but there is no room service menu in the room, nor could I get room service on the phone. I had to go downstairs get the food and bring it back up 11 floors. I wasn’t allowed to get a forks because I wasn’t eating at the restaurant. Luckily for me, I travel with plastic ware. The room is dated , as I said, the bathroom is disgusting & The restaurants are lacking sanitation. No one speaks English. They do not have enough elevators. I’ve counted 4 elevators for at least 20 floors worth of rooms. It’s chaos here. The pool is cloudy and it’s likely due to the 500 screaming hollering kids that are here using the bathroom in it. The balcony has a view but it’s extremely small and the concrete on the walls is obstructive. I am frustrated and angry in this environment. It’s gross and I feel like I’m going to have a parting gift of either COVID or diarrhea. It’s just that disgusting here. I’m checking out tomorrow. Who would be happy coming here? Likely an untraveled family with children who can’t afford much else. Everyone else, please stay away.
