Great location with a few hiccups

purplelotus (Seattle, Washington) on Jul 06, 2024

Nice hotel on the lake front in Kelowna. Fabulous location and walkable to everything. Room is a decent size with a king bed and small bath with shower stall only, and a small balcony. Great view from the 9th floor of the lake and pool. Two of the 4 nights we’ve been here there has been a function on the outdoor plaza/conference center which has loud music from 6-10pm. And I mean loud. Seems very invasive for every hotel guest that is not part of this event. You certainly could not relax at the pool or anywhere outside during these two evenings. We have the a/c on which is fairly loud and this pounding music can be heard over it. Otherwise, the pluses are the clean room, comfy bed and pillows, great housekeeping staff, and Nespresso machine. Resort amenities like complimentary bikes and boats, and a small food and beverage credit each day. I also like the ability to self park which is convenient.

Amazing Service!

411Travelwarrior (Toronto, Canada) on Jun 30, 2024

We had a fantastic stay at the Delta Hotel in Kelowna! Param and Libby went above and beyond with their excellent service. Param upgraded us to a condo, which was absolutely amazing! As a lifetime Platinum Elite, we felt truly special and appreciated for our loyalty to Marriott Bonvoy. I highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Kelowna!

Great hotel, terrible car charging process!

markushaak (Vancouver, Canada) on May 27, 2024

The good: - renowned hotel with renovated rooms - super friendly staff - great location The bad: - Electric car charging: (I am giving the same feedback every year, as it never never improves, while the manager always posts “thank you for your feedback… we take it seriously…” and nothing happens. This year it actually got worse. Only 1 tesla charger and 1 non tesla charger, which are not in the normal parking lot but in the employee parking lot. So you need to chase down an employee to let you in. They have running paper lists to document if the charger is taken and call the owner if the car is charged to get the next person access. Poor employees that need to deal with a bad process. This year I sometimes had 3 cars in line before me “on paper”. So i could get my car charged somehow after midnight?! Also, on day 5 they told me they only do valet parking? While day 1-4 was ok? The parking lot also gets used as storage its super tight and half the entrance is blocked. Past but not least, the charger has exposed wires. Please, just get 5 stalls with electric chargers in your main parking lot and assign it to customers that ask / pay for it. Most hotels nowadays do that.

Basic rooms on the waterfront

MooshLA (Calabasas, California) on May 17, 2024

After hearing that this was the prime hotel to stay in Kelowna, I was expecting a bit more than I experienced. It was a good stay but I'll outline as follows for ease of reading: THE GOOD: *Prime location downtown and right on the waterfront - ideal walking, jogging, biking and certainly close proximity to all the fine dining options steps away. *Staff want to please and are welcoming *Residences feature two floors with two bedrooms, kitchen, two bathrooms and a semi private balcony. *Good dining option on the property with both indoor and outdoor seating. *The "Pantry" is available free to Marriott Elite members and offered lots of food and drink options at no cost - fully stocked. Great perk. THE NEEDS ATTENTION: *The room is more on the no frills airport hotel style. *Bed wasn't so comfortable and is queen sized, not king. *Master bathroom is small although it features a whirlpool tub and walk in shower, the vanity is a single sink with limited counter space. *Fixtures need attention - most of the light switches don't work, the toilet needs re plumbing and the sink faucets always leak on to the counter. *The towels are really cheap and thin. *If someone cooks in their room, the smells travel throughout the hallway. *The balcony is shared with the adjacent guest room - therefore semi-private *It was difficult getting around the property with no signage - I walked around for 15 minutes before I could find a staff member that knew where my room was. The front desk staff just pointed down a hall and told me to walk as if I was leaving the hotel. Huh? *Many of the door entry points don't work so they tell you to walk up and down random floors - so odd.
