Old and completely run down. For roughly $300 a night I had a room pretty comparable to Motel 6 except the view of the lake (had a Lakeside room) :( Special amenities included the following A clogged... and broken sink. A water damaged shower ceiling that’s growing mildew. Really old and dirty carpet. One elevator that barely moves, takes a while to be able to go up or down. The only elevator was also broken while we were checking out and we had to carry all our luggage and use the stairs. Worst of all the continual deactivation of the room key card. Every time it happens literally it’s a hassle to be able to go down and come back up due to the hotel, not having proper elevator services or stair access. I’ve even requested not to deactivate my cards. To my surprise. Not only they were deactivated, I was told the same BS that typically hotels like to tell their guest “oh your card was demagnetized by your phone”… Deactivating room key cards are not a crime however, lying about it is a crime in Canada. Most importantly, it removes the trust. I have no reason to trust anything else a hotel say at that point if they cannot acknowledge, their basic screw ups and lies. I hope it helps someone else.

Understaffed at the front desk at times. 20 minute waits are not acceptable. 2. Small rooms with very little insulation. Can hear too easily conversations from adjoining rooms and music from the banquet ro...om below. 3. Dining options not convenient. Especially for families. 4. Only one gym — if you can call it a gym — and pool open and it was the one in the Eldorado. Over 2 days, I was forced to walk back and forth 5 times to the front desk as they kept giving me key cards that would not let me into the Eldorado pool & gym. I am a personal trainer and certified boxing coach, so I need access to fitness facilities. 5. For some reason, the cleaners decided not to clean a number of rooms on my floor claiming that the “do not disturb signs” were on the doors. Only one room had that sign on the door. The notice also enabled the cleaners to skip the room if there were personal articles on the bed. Why would you skip cleaning a room if there is a jacket lying on a bed? Sounds like an excuse. Well, they missed their tip yesterday. 6. The staff is nice. That is the one good thing I can say. I used to love the Manteo when I stayed there at least several times years ago. I hope that things will be better when I return to their sister hotel — The Eldorado — on June 20th.

Booked a 3 bedroom unit(rated 4 star) for a weekend in October. Unit was so tired and bagged out it was disgusting. Carpets were filthy(I should have taken more photos) but the crew I was with didn’t even... want to remove our shoes, the layout was great and the property amenities are amazing, and staff at the resort was great. The cleanliness was way pass the cleaning crews responsible, these units have not been updated and the price point is way out of line. Would NOT recommend staying here. Staff seemed to be well aware of the problem but I sensed their hand were tied as the front desk said “please email me those photos with your complaints and I will stick them on the stack of complaints I already have!” On packing up the neighbor was also leaving and her room sounded worse, broken furniture and the stove only worked on the broil setting so she was not pleased as she had brought lots of meals with her(we ate out so I did not use the kitchen)

Stayed here for a private party, I prefer this resort to the Delta in Kelowna, but like the Delta the rooms are getting tired and rundown, time for an upgrade! I didn’t get why some of the buffet excess f...ood couldn’t be packed up and taken away, either to our apartment for the next day or given to the homeless as there are lots of them in Kelowna! But they said they throw it away. Overall I love the position of the resort and the facilities and it’s not that far to walk to downtown.

AMAZING. Everything from check experience to dining, amenities and ambience was incredible. We had two different rooms because of our late booking request but we were graciously accommodated. The Ahi salad... was the BEST I have ever had. The resort is spotlessly clean and the views are incredible.
