Hotel wasn't as clean as expected staff was friendly. Hotel pool closed wat too early should be an adult swim time or a night pool party for adults.

I have read a lot of mixed reviews about the Luxor Hotel and Casino but it provided us with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We arrived at night and the check in queue was very long but there were members of staff pulling people out the line to make things quicker. Our room was on the 8th floor of the pyramid. The hotel is MASSIVE like all the others on the strip so you did have to wait a while for elevators and they were often crowded. Our room was very spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The AC worked perfectly, shower was great and even though the hotel was busy 24 hours it couldn’t be heard from the room. This hotel is at the ‘bottom of the strip’. It is connected to the Excalibur and Mandalay Bay with walkways. Once you are in the Excalibur you can then cross easily to New York and MGM where the monorail is. It is very close to the airport and Ubers can be collected at the front door. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and fast food options. I would recommend if you are going to the buffet to do this at lunch as there are not too many breakfast options. As you are allowed to smoke inside the casino there is a strong smell of this throughout. Other hotels seemed to have a fragrance to cover this smell which would be only bit of feedback to give. Overall I was really happy with our stay at the Luxor. This hotel is very impressive to look at and being on the strip made everything very accessible.
