Fine Resort in the Blue Zone of Costa Rica

We booked through Travelzoo months ago. When it was time for us to visit, the hurricane Helene came through our community. I contacted Cesar, who represented Azura through the booking process. For a small fee, he extended the Travelzoo offer, which was a great relief. We finally arrived one month later and had a great, relaxing visit. We did the sunset cruise, and the turtle tour, and received massages, all at reasonable rates. They did need at least four people to do a tour, but we went outside the gates for our turtle tour and used another tour company to take us to the turtle nesting site. The resort was quiet, and the food was delicious. Luis was fantastic at the restaurant. There is a little wear to the hotel. Our hvac unit would bang when the compressor switched off. The water spigot for the outside tub was a trickle. So if soaking outside in a tub is on your to-do list you may want to check the water supply first. I did attempt fishing from the beach and rocks a nice walk south. But no action for me. The staff was beyond accomodating and that makes up for any small issues you may have. It was on the tail end of the rainy season, but we only had one evening of rain. Supposedly this year has been a little drier than most. This is our second trip to Costa Rica....the folks there are super nice and accomodating. The outdoor environment is so alive. Hopefully, we will return soon.
Great Vacation

Costa Rica is a wonderful place to visit! My stay at the Azuru Hotel was very positive. The food was extremely good. The drinks were excellent. The hotel is very clean and beautiful. The best part though is their staff. Luis, Alajandro, Josephenia, Kayla were amazing! The two things that were frustrating for me were the fact that you needed four people to go on excursions, although I understand the why, Excursions are advertised, and it would’ve been very disappointing if we had not found our own guests to go along with us and were unable to go. The staff that handled the excursions need to communicate better, we stopped at a souvenir shop on the way back, but were not prepared because we were unaware. Also, to leave the resort the prices are out of control and they don’t even give you a ride back. It would have cost us $130 one way with no ride Back to the resort. The resort also needs to start having some cash for guests that prefer to pay that way.
