5 Stars – A Memorable First Visit to Hawaii!
Hassan A on May 03, 2025
Stayed: April 18th at Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay This was my first time visiting Hawaii, and my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay made it unforgettable. The location is fantastic—close... to the airport and nestled in a beautiful spot with absolutely incredible views. The real standout of my stay, though, was Bree at the front desk. She was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Her tips became my personal guide throughout the trip and helped me make the most of my time on the island. Thank you, Bree, for your warm hospitality and for helping make my first trip to Hawaii so special. I’ll definitely be back!
Great Aloha spirit from Curt and Julie

We spent 6 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt like celebrities, even though I know that they treat everybody with the same wonderful aloha sp...irit. Special thanks to Curt, the jack of all trades, and Julie the housekeeping lady. Our wonderful stay on Kauai was made even better by the people who work hard to make it great.
Disappointing Stay at Hilton Garden Inn Kaua?i
Peter W on Apr 23, 2025
I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua?i—and sadly, it was the first Hilton property I’ve encountered that doesn’t live up to the Hilton name. Instead of the quality and luxury we expect, I found ...the front-desk staff and breakfast attendants to be surprisingly rude. Parking will set you back $25 per night, and breakfast costs $30 per person (with a $10 cappuccino) for a sparse buffet that included bread but no ham or cheese for a simple sandwich. Housekeeping is only every other day, so after beach outings our room became messy and sandy. To top it off, our first-floor room overlooked the staff parking lot—hardly the Hawaiian vista one dreams of. The one bright spot was the beachside bar, where friendly staff, tasty food and drinks, and an incredible sunset view reminded me of what Hilton hospitality can—and should—be.
Hilton Garden Inn, do better.

I usually read extensive reviews before booking a place. But, for some reason, I trusted the Hilton brand and booked without research. The hotel experience was subpar and I’m extremely disappointed in the ...experience when it cost so much. 1. I called the hotel prior to the stay to confirm the price included resort fees AND parking. The person on the phone said yes. Surprise, surprise.. I was slapped with resort fees at the end. Of course, I called to contest but there’s no winning. I didn’t get a name of the person that gave me the information. Another fail for me. 2. Our room was switched bc we found two LIVE roaches in the room. The staff were accommodating but that doesn’t take away the mental stress of seeing roaches and wondering if your new room has them. The new room didn’t have roaches but rather had ants. 3. Service in the room not consistent. The hotel skipped a day of service. Only a big deal when you’re in and out of the beach a lot. 4. The lobby mini market was selling moldy oranges. 5. The room view offered a phenomenal sunrise view. No sunsets on this side of the island. 6. Hotel location central to many parts of the island and airport. A plus. Overall, I won’t book Hilton Garden Inn anymore. Shoulda stayed loyal to my other hotel chain… lesson learned.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was incredibly disappointing. On my first night, I found two baby cockroaches in my room. When I informed the front desk, they s...witched me to another room but showed no concern, didn’t apologize, and didn’t offer any sort of upgrade to make up for the inconvenience. The second room wasn’t much better — there were spider webs, baby spiders, and ants. My room also wasn’t serviced at all until I called to remind them, which shouldn’t have been necessary. Even after that, spider webs were still visible on the popcorn ceiling, which makes me question how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned. On top of all that, the TV didn’t even offer streaming options — no Netflix, no Hulu, nothing — which felt very outdated for a hotel in this price range. For a Hilton-branded hotel, this experience was far below expectations. I won’t be returning
