We stayed at The Garland for 4 nights as part of our trip to California. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. On our first night we heard quite a bit of road noise and were worried about the next few night’s sleep. At reception the next morning, they informed us of the noise cancelling balcony doors which should have stopped it; they quickly sent someone up and it was early (7am ish) and found something needed fixing with the door and we didn’t hear road noise in the night for the rest of our stay. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast in The Front Yard restaurant and also had a takeaway dinner; it was good value and delicious. We used the shuttle to Universal Studios to go to the theme park and also on another day and got off at the metro station, to go into Hollywood, which was very good. The pool area was well maintained and again the lady by the pool was lovely.

After a very long day/night in Las Vegas we arrived at LAX and travelled to The Garland Hotel for the Los Angeles leg of our family Holiday! On entering reception we were greeted by Angel and Ivan who were amazing, they are a real credit to the Hotel. We managed to leave a bag in the Uber vehicle and ran out of the reception mid conversation leaving our daughter with the hotel staff. Thankfully the bag was retrieved! On return both Angel and Ivan were so supportive and immediately put us all at ease, our holiday had now begun! Thank you for making our first day memorable.

Beautiful hotel - great option to visit the Universal Studios with the shuttle - the room was a bit smelly. The food next door was amazing. The stuff was very nice and helpful. We had a bit problem at the beginning and they were helping out very good.

This hotel is a gem. We stayed here at the end of a three week trip down the west coast of America and the hotel had been raved about online so we booked and we were not disappointed! Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect, really close to Hollywood, less than 10 mins drive to Universal Studios and only 10-15 mins to Warner Bros studios. By far though the best thing is in the evening they do movie nights down by the pool which was popular with many guests. Movies are kid-friendly and start at 8pm, kids watch the movie in the pool or on sun beds or seats. They light fires and heaters, put on fairy lights…they serve food and drinks round the pool and it’s fabulous! And the pool stays open until 10pm. Our kids who are 10 and 14 loved it. Overall this is a great LA hotel and I’d return in a heartbeat! If you’re on the fence about staying here, don’t be.

Lovely hotel in a great location for Universal Studios. Free trolley bus to and from Universal was a great bonus. I emailed in advance to request interconnecting rooms which we got (hello@thegarland.com) Rooms were lovely and lots of parking available.
