Please note the following renovation schedule for Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos for 2024 and 2025. Construction work will only take place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the following dates:
· April 20 – September 20, 2024: Construction is taking place on a new Fitness Center and no disruption is anticipated for guests as the old fitness center will remain open for use.
· May 23 – July 8: Cortez restaurant will be closed, and noise and dust should be expected.
· May 23 – August 23, 2024: The Business Center in the lobby will be open but guests can expect noise and dust (from 9AM to 6PM) as a new Business Center and Lobby Bar are being built within the main lobby.
· May 23, 2024 – March 22, 2025: Tower B will be completely closed as 232 rooms and bathrooms are fully renovated. Although these rooms are out of inventory, we expect heavy noise in the first nine weeks.
· May 23, 2024 – March 22, 2025: The Water Park will be closed.
· May 27 – October 29, 2024: The port cochere (covered entrance) will be upgraded and noise and dust should be expected.
· June 3, 2024 – December 16, 2024: The convention center foyer will be expanded and there will be dust and noise. Events and weddings are being rescheduled but leisure guests should not be affected. Breakout rooms will be closed on specific dates during this time.
· June 1 – March 22, 2025: Pool snack bar Coco Loco will be under construction. Noise and dust are expected but snacks and drinks will still be offered poolside.
· June 1 – March 22, 2025: While Zaffiro—the Italian restaurant—will be closed. Italian cuisine will be available at the Cortez restaurant during this time.
· June 10 – December 12, 2024: The Teen Club will be expanded and it will be closed for guests. Entertainment for all ages will be available around the main pool.
· June 10 – December 19, 2024: The Kidz Club will be renovated and a temporary KidZ Club will open in a meeting room and children’s programming will still be offered during this time.
· July 22 – December 9, 2024: A new Indian dining outlet is being built in the lobby bar area and noise and dust is to be expected.
It’s important to note that these areas listed above will be operating as usual outside of the timeframe listed and will not affect all guests. Please note there will be work within the hotel’s lobby. Dates and plans are subject to change, the hotel staff are working diligently to minimize disruptions throughout the renovation period.

Avoid if you have children under 4 and were looking to use the kids pool

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos in July. Despite the high expectations I had for this vacation, several issues significantly detracted from our experience. 1. Kids’ Splash Pool Closed: The primary reason we chose your resort was for the kids’ splash pool, which was unavailable due to renovations. There was no mention of these renovations when I booked our stay. 2. Misleading Information About Swim-Up Suites: Upon check-in, I was informed that swim-up suites do not allow children. However, I repeatedly saw children in the swim-up suites pool area. This inconsistency was frustrating and misleading. 3. Closed Italian Restaurant: Another reason for choosing your resort was the promise of an Italian restaurant, which was closed during our stay without prior notice. This was another significant letdown for our family. Because of this closure, we were left with the other 5 remaining restaurants. Here is a little about each. La Paz is the buffet. Standard, options are the same so once is often enough. El Molino will randomly close if it is Mexican night at La Paz (but they will not serve the same options…). BonVivant is for 18+ only so we couldnt go with our son. Hacienda Bar and Grill had okay empanadas and corn soup. The in room dining is NOT 24 hours a day. I was on hold from 530-6am to order breakfast. They apparently dont start until 6 despite advertising 24 hour dining. 4. Incident at Dozo Restaurant: During dinner at Dozo, a waiter accidentally dropped a glass that shattered on our table. I was soaked and covered in glass shards, and had to seek help from the concierge myself. While the manager did offer laundry services, the incident added to the negative experience. I chose Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos based on the amenities and services promised, and I feel that the reality fell far short of these promises. Clear communication about the status of facilities and dining options would have allowed us to make a more informed decision

Amazing !! This trip was so much fun everything was perfect. Great hospitality, treated us with such kindness and love. Facilities are top notch, clean and professional staff as well. Food was excellent in all restaurants especially the French one. Dinner was delicious ! Pizza at the Italian was perfect. Will definitely go back!
