Please note the following renovation schedule for Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos for 2025. Construction work will only take place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the following dates:
· May 23, 2024 – April 15, 2025: Tower B will be completely closed as 232 rooms and bathrooms are fully renovated. Although these rooms are out of inventory, we expect heavy noise in the first nine weeks.
· July 22 – April 15, 2025: A new Indian dining outlet is being built in the lobby bar area and noise and dust is to be expected.
It’s important to note that these areas listed above will be operating as usual outside of the timeframe listed and will not affect all guests. Please note there will be work within the hotel’s lobby. Dates and plans are subject to change, the hotel staff are working diligently to minimize disruptions throughout the renovation period.

Great Service, Average Food, Average experience

Overall our stay was okay. It was our anniversary and they didn’t do anything special for us like all other hotels do. Also our air conditioning went out one night while we were asleep. We were sweating an...d couldn’t sleep all night. Then we had to call 3 times the next day to get it fixed. The following day was our actual anniversary and we were exhausted and couldn’t really enjoy all day. There were also 18 year olds getting drunk all day and made the pool unenjoyable and the hot tubs were cold the whole time. Food The food is very average. Everything feels somewhat cheap. The coffee at the coffee shop is good but they only have small cups. The food at restaurants is also very small portions. Especially at Dozo. The quality of the food is very average. If you’re a foodie you won’t like this. Service This resort would be nothing without the incredible staff. These people work so hard. Some of these people are practically running to work as quickly as possible. They are so friendly and appreciative of you. Room Rooms were decent. For the price they’re good. Nothing special. Helpful Tips - Make Dozo reservations as soon as you check in. - Arrive for dinner 10 minutes before the restaurants open to avoid a wait time. - Get pool chairs early if you want to be at the main pool in a good spot. - Farina e Olio is the best dinner. Honorable Mentions I normally never do this but these people gave above and beyond excellent service. I had to mention them in this review. Raymound from the coffee shop went above and beyond to be friendly and provided excellent service. He always has the biggest smile on his face. Lucero from The Cortez restaurant provided excellent service. She works very hard and made us feel welcome. She went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. Alberto the bellman was so friendly and welcoming when we checked in. He went out of his way to get us drinks from the bar. He said hello when he would see us during our stay. He was there when we left taking care of us. He is above and beyond friendly and Hyatt Ziva is very lucky to have him. Blanca at Ollio e Farina was an exceptional waitress. She was on top of everything and made us feel welcome and special. The hostess at Farina e Olio she was so welcoming and inviting. She works so hard with a smile on her face. She runs the front like she owns the place. We were impressed. Emanuel the server at the pool was excellent. He brought me water without even asking.
A few hiccups, but overall great property and great service

We took a large group (700+ people). Check-in was extremely messy, but overall the hotel was great. Resort is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, staff was A+, pools and activities are expansive, food w...as better-than-expected for an all-inclusive and the weather was better than has ever been for any of our programs. Our group had an amazing time. Would highly recommend for individual travelers, would be hesitant to take another group until the check-in process was better ironed out. Hotel has renovations happening that were supposed to be finished before we arrived and weren't. They offered concessions to make up for it, and I don't think it affected us negatively. We had an awards dinner on the beach and our sound was competing with an event on the pool deck. Something to consider if you need quiet for whatever program you're hosting.
