Lunch at Tortuga with a beautiful view of the ocean was lovely. The food and service are the best on the property the staff and menu are well managed by Fransisco, the Tortugas friendly and capable manager. Commendations also to Ramon, Caesar, Lucero, Alejo, Kevin and Armando at poolside. Treat yourself! Visit Tortugas in the cafe or at poolside

The service at Tortugas restaurant is excellent as well as the pool service. The manager Francisco is wonderful and kind along with his team. Thank you for always being there for us. Hope to see you soon upon our return. We also enjoyed Rosie the server in the Tomatoes restaurant. Thank you

I first came here 13 years ago through RCI. It was the absolute best. I was fortunate enough to come back in 2019 (5 year rule applies for RCI) and it was ok, but still an amazingly beautiful resort in need of some love in updating rooms, etc. However, I really liked the resort and wanted to bring my entire family. I booked a 3 bedroom Presidential suite(which overlooks the ocean) over a year ago. After traveling all day we arrived to be told that due to construction (which I was not apprised of) that the 3 bedroom presidential was not available, I BOOKED A YEAR AGO. Regardless, they told me that they were giving me a two bedroom presidential with a lockout so that would make three bedrooms. Well, they gave me a two bedroom (NOT A PRESIDENTIAL SUITE AS I HAVE STAYED IN THAT BEFORE) with a lock out master room. My view: the parking lot. When I inquired as to if I could have a room with a view since I booked a year ago I was rudely advised by Barbara the condescending front desk manager to basically take it or leave it. She was not going to honor the contract or the reservation and that was that. There was no offer of an apology or any kind of appeasement such as a bottle of wine or something. Just take it or leave it. I'll leave it thank you very much. This resort has gone downhill and while I once raved about it and recommended it to anyone and everyone, I would not recommend at all. I am an owner of two timeshares and have been traveling through RCI for over 15 years. I have never been treated so poorly or received so poorly in my life. This resort does not want you here unless you are an OWNER. As far as the resort itself: The room was ok for a two bedroom, not a presidential suite. It was in desperate need of updating. The locks on the doors were broken and required fixing when we arrived. The "lock out" room was not opened for us as promised until well after we checked in. The furniture was old and musty but usable. The kitchen was not well stocked and the amenities were non-existent. Seriously. No coffee, no water. Whatever. The grounds are gorgeous. Aesthetically, the resort, from the outside is beautiful. Rolling hills and lush foliage. Well maintained. The pools are nice, slightly crowded and people save the ocean view chairs with towels so they are impossible to get. The staff are wonderful. The restaurants were great. Only one option for breakfast which was a buffet at Del cortez. That was TERRIBLE, however, dinner there was terrific. Pitayas was great. Tomatos awesome and the other restaurants at the pools were good. Loved Tortugas as well. Know before you go, read all reviews and unless you are an owner go at your own risk. You will not get what you think you are getting.

We love the grounds. Gorgeous pool views but the water could be cleaner. Due to the heavy fragrance on the bed sheets my husband had an asthma attack and almost had to go to ER. I have MS and most of the time cart response was great but sometimes not. Should prioritize usage for handicap people first . The drivers were wonderful. Overall we have been coming for at least 15 years and would not consider anywhere else.

I want to express my deep gratitude to the folks at Hacienda Del March for making our stay from check-in to check out a complete and utter joy. The concierge is always responsive to any concerns or needs,(thank you Fredrico and staff). A very heartfelt thank you to Antonio a MasterChef, who saw to it that our food allergies were handled with perfection. The staff at De Cortez and Pathyias could not have been more attentive and made the experience of dining so very lovely. The activity center provided so much fun for our stay. Ricardo and staff did a fabulous job at water aerobics, cooking classes, card games, and everything else under the sun.. We cannot wait to come back. I highly recommend a stay at hacienda Del Mar for anyone who loves the beach ,pools and so many more amenities. You will be treated beautifully and will be surrounded by beauty. The landscaping, the views, the sunrise and sunsets are beyond.
