Ask for Esteban for service during the day at the pool.

The seafood is fantastic! The service while we were lounging by the ocean was excellent! Esteban did a wonderful job of making sure we had everything we needed and even remembered our room number each day.... Rooms are clean and views are spectacular. The only thing that could use some improvement is the service at the breakfast buffet. It is not very good.
Best vacation ever!!

The entire resort was wonderful! We especially liked the stretch and yoga classes. We quickly found out that many of the instructors were also part of the activities team who also were part of the entertai...nment team! We fell in love with Alana and each time we watch her perform, we are filled with joy in such a talented young lady! Truly, a gem amongst all the other wonderful performers Our concierge’s team of Adrian and Alejandro were terrific whenever we had anything to plan. V IANEY was wonderful at the front desk! And we attended several dinner shows in Iracema was our favorite and most attentive staff person in the dining room!
Extremely accommodating

Honestly better than I expected! The staff and activity crew were amazing! The staff was constantly cleaning and making sure everything was perfect and spotless! Alex from the Wednesday morning yoga sessio...ns was extremely professional...I didn't think I'd get an actual yoga class but you can tell that's his passion, comparable to my yoga classes in California except even better since you get an amazing view! My mom accidentally dropped some glass Tupperware and the cleaning lady was extremely detailed oriented and even moved the fridge just to get the shards that might've dropped behind there. I was traveling with my special needs sister and they are extremely accommodating even with the kayaking at villa Dr arco, the kayak instructor noticed I was struggling paddling for my sister and insisted to switch so that he can relieve my pressure and help my sister get the best and first kayaking experience. My sister also wanted to do the horse back riding which for her safety she wasn't allowed to ride but the staff member was willing to allow her to just feed the house and take pictures next to it. The front desk crew was always welcoming, the staff who helped me the most was I think called "tamtilla"with glasses and she was fantastic and answered all my questions. Even passing my staff throughout the resort they are always greeting you with their hands to their heart, you truly feel welcomed and at peace in this resort. My colleagues told me that I should've booked Pueblo bonito but honestly I don't regret VDP, the only thing I regret is not booking for a longer stay. Will definitely be back!

Great Experience

Arrived at the hotel at 230pm and our suites were ready. Check in process great. At check in, you will need the credit card you made the reservation with. You'll have two separate transactions to pay at ch...eck in, #1 the balance of your room and #2 a $500.00 hold for security deposit, no exceptions. The front desk does not accept US currency at all-if you need to exchange to Pesos, there is a window in the lobby-daily exchange rate may not be favorable. We were all inclusive, we got a wristband at check in-the wristband only opens your suite door and nothing else-you won't be using the wristband as payment anywhere. There is no place to break down US currency (other than the currency exchange window) -so plan ahead and bring your tipping/cab $$$ with you. To get food or drinks just provide room # and name, you will need to sign a receipt for every transaction-it doesn't take long. There is one bar open in the pool area (near Bella & Pizza) which does tend to get busy and a line backs up. There is a limit of two alcoholic beverages per adult per transaction. Just FYI, there were no American Beers in all inclusive menu-there were a few (I think 6-8) Mexican beers. There were no American Beers available at restaurants or bars to "upgrade" to. If you are a low-carb beer drinker, go to town and bring them back-we found Michelob Ultra at a few places in town. There are waters, sodas, juices, a couple different beers and snacks in the suite refrigerator/kitchen that are complementary and refilled daily. We were always seated immediately in restaurants, only once at Carbon we had a 10-15 minute wait. We found the food quality at the restaurants and pool snacks were very good! Housekeeping service was very good. We had a spa credit included with our booking. To make the spa appointment, go to the gym at VDP or the spa attendants roam around the pool areas in their white uniforms and you can make your appointment with them. If you book at the gym, your reservation goes right into the system, if you book with the ladies at the pool, they will have to go verify if your requested time is available and go back to let you know. If you are doing the spa credit, the times available are 400,500, and 600pm, there is a small fee to do your massage at different times. There is no spa at VDP, you'll need to go to the sister property, Villa del Arco. It sounds inconvenient but it really isn't; just walk out the front door of the VDP hotel lobby and wait for the trolly-the trolly is literally door to door service for the spa at VDA-it drops you off at the front door to the spa-no need to wander thru the hotel looking for the spa. The spa is incredible!!! Three men in our group went for treatments and they all raved about the cleanliness off the spa, the pretreatment rituals (cold plunge, saunas, hot tubs, and water pressure soak) and the treatment itself. This is a top notch luxury spa!!! There will be a small charge for fees/taxes (under $40). We spent most of our time at the family pool (whale slide pool). Huge shout out to the entertainment team that keep activities going from 0900-500. Yoga/stretching, water aerobics, water volleyball, bingo, trivia, etc. Going into town is easy, just walk out the hotel lobby and ask the doorman for a taxi. On Thursdays in Cabo San Jose there is an Art Walk in the Arts District. If you are in Cabo on a Thursday-it is amazing, must do!! We left VDP at 530 and getting into San Jose was a bit of a traffic jam- it took approximately an hour to get there but well worth it. We asked our driver to stay in San Jose and wait for us and take us back to San Lucas- it was approx $150 for the 4 hours. Going into San Lucas after cruise ships leave is much better. There are thousands less people and most of the vendors bugging to buy have gone elsewhere. We used the pre-trip concierge to assist booking our private transfers. Our pickup at the airport was 30 minutes late. Our private van back to the airport was on time. We felt extremely safe on the Villa Group Properties.
