Beautiful property and amazing service

173lizettes on Feb 19, 2025

We had a wonderful trip at Le Blanc. The staff was amazing, the property was beautiful, and the food and drinks were highest quality! The spa and amenities were so beautiful and comfortable. I have to shou...t out the amazing service. Julia at the pool activities kept everything so fun in the day. She had the best energy and such a contagious smile! Thank you Julia for keeping our days so entertaining! I also have to shout out Angel at the Blanc restaurant. He gave my boyfriend and I the best service for breakfast every morning. Thank you Angel for always greeting us with a bug smile and always having our drink order ready in the morning! They made our stay so special. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall a disappointment

melissasN7218RV (Scottsdale, Arizona) on Feb 18, 2025

We were excited to try Le Blanc in Cabo after a great stay at the Le Blanc in Cancun in November. This stay was much different for us and disappointing overall. We loved the property/service at Cancun so m...uch that we were hoping we had found our new go to place. As we were leaving Cancun, a salesperson approached us and sold us on another 4 night package at any of their resorts. We told him we were interested in Cabo since it's so close to AZ. He informed us that the package was for an ocean front room in Cabo so we bought it from him on the spot. Fast forward to 3 months later, we arrived at Le Blanc in Cabo last Wednesday to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine's Day. When we checked in, we were told that we had a ground floor room with no view. ( One star off for Le Blanc in Cancun for the dishonest salesman). We agreed to pay $268 for a better room with a view. After squaring away the room, we were whisked off to meet with a salesman. We were offered a drink (non-alcoholic), which is strange for Mexico. Karla was our salesperson. We do not like doing sales presentations on a short vacation but we agreed since at that point, we were still interested in Le Blanc for future trips. In exchange for our time, Karla offered to waive the upgrade fee on our room and throw in some extra credits aside from what came with our package that can be used for excursions, the gift shop or spa. Buyer beware though. We used our "credits" in Cancun at the spa and still had to come out of pocket quite a bit so these credits are a gimmick to get you to pay more. We decided we would just use our credits at the gift shop instead this time. Buyer beware again though. When we checked the gift shop later, almost everything in the shop is excluded except for one small table of junk. (think any item that was old and could not be sold prior). We couldn't even get a sunscreen with over 700 dollars worth of credits. What a joke, right? We ended up just forfeiting our credits on this trip. Karla also wished us a "Happy Anniversary" and said she would make sure they would do something special for us. That never happened. Now for the good, bad and ugly about our actual experience at Le Blanc Los Cabos. Let's start with the good. The pool servers were phenomenal. They work their tales off and every single person we encountered there was extremely friendly. The bad news about the pool is that if you don't get there before the crack of dawn (think 6 AM or earlier, you are stuck with no loungers or a very undesirable lounger if you're lucky). This is an exhausting and disappointing thing to have to deal with when you're supposed to be on a restful vacation. There are 4 pools but only one has a view. Obviously, people are there to see the ocean so everyone wants to be at the front pool. I will say that when we arrived on Wednesday in the afternoon, there were no seats anywhere, even at the pools that just have buildings as your view. One of the 4 mornings we were there, my husband was late. It was closer to 7 AM. The pool attendants tried their best to help and we ended up behind the noisy pool bar with an obstructed view. The restaurants at both resorts are the same but the quality of food was better in Cancun. The servers were all wonderful in Cancun and same with Cabo with the exception of one experience we had at Lumiere restaurant. I have a gluten allergy and everything seemed to be going smoothly until I ordered dessert. I ordered a sorbet (which is always safe for a gluten allergy), but it was served on a chocolate brownie which unfortunately I didn't notice until I took a bite. We informed our server and he said, "Did you eat it? Don't eat it." He then whisked it away and brought a normal sorbet. No apologies, no manager, no chef, nothing. I paid the price as I have severe GI issues when ingesting the smallest amount of gluten. It was a very rough night for me. We informed our butler in the AM as to what happened to me and asked him to let Karla know that we wouldn't be able to make the sales presentation. We did hear from a manager and she wanted to provide medical attention for me but other than taking my activated charcoal and giving it some time, there is nothing else to be done. Unfortunately, it was not my first experience with this. I was recovered by late morning and was able to move forward with my vacation. When we arrived back to the room, Karla had left a message sounding very irritated with us for not showing up to the presentation and let us know that she was now charging us for the room upgrade (which went immediately back on our bill). Apparently there is no communication there and the butler did not relay the message about our circumstances. What could have been another great experience at Le Blanc was hindered by the restaurant experience, the pool situation and the icing on cake was the way the manager Blanca and salesperson Karla handled the situation that happened to me at the restaurant. Instead of sympathy or trying to make up for my experience, I was penalized for being fed something that made me sick. The situation could have and should have been handled completely differently. We love the idea of an adults-only all inclusive but we will be trying another one for our next trip to Mexico in April. We do not recommend this resort.
