Disappointing experience at Le Blanc - Cabo
Adam S on Jul 13, 2024
PROS: - The spa is excellent but we did not know the hydrotherapy was included until our very last day. - The waiters at all of the restaurants were wonderful. - The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job. - The food itself was tasty. - Fitness center was very nice, although very busy. CONS: - My wife and I had stomach pains and sickness after, I kid you not, every single meal we had at Le Blanc. I am not sure if it was something in the ice in our drinks or with the meat, but this made our evenings and mornings less than enjoyable. - Pool service: The day we arrived we sat at the pool and did not have a waiter for over 4 hours. It improved the second day but that was only after we complained. - Overcrowded: every morning if you do not get to a chair and 'reserve it' by putting your stuff on it, you will likely get a less than desirable chair. This is a problem at resorts overall but it seemed extra bad at Le Blanc and it was almost as if there were not enough pool chairs for guests. - Getting sold on other Le Blanc resorts on the day of departure. I did not feel this was necessary nor wanted, 'sales-y'
A Great Newer Resort

This is truely a great hotel/resort. The building is beautiful and the rooms are large and well appointed. All of the restaurants are pretty good, especially the Italian restaurant which is outstanding. They serve food out by the pool from about 11am to 3pm, all types of bbq, tacos, salads as well as a bar set up just for this type of lunch. There is also a sit down restaurant overlooking the pool and beach which is lovely with very good lunch menu food. The pools are large and kept at just the right temperature to refresh, but not chill. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. This was my 3rd stay at this resort and it just keeps getting better and better. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a classy, beautiful, well maintained resort in Cabo, this would be an excellent choice. The Cons: The breakfast buffet closes kind of early, I think around 10am to convert for lunch. The food offerings are good but pretty standard breakfast fare. 2 of the dinner restaurants were good but not great. There is a place for carry out pizza, but the pizza could be improved upon, just average. Room service could be quicker, plan on 45 minutes.
