Lovely stay at the hideaway

We have just stayed at the hideaway Royalton negril and have really loved this hotel . I would like to say thank you to every member of staff for there hard work to restore the hotel back to its beautiful self after the damage left from hurricane beryl they have just had a category 4 hurricane in there country and they have been amazing what they have all done thank you .i would like to say thank you to Mikhail aka pappi Felicia Esroy and Nickoy from the hideaway pool bar for there lovely drinks and friendly atmosphere and to Stephen who kept the pool clean and immaculate and always happy to chat and to Fitzroy on the maintenance and Ashley Ann our maid who kept our room lovely This hotel is definitely a 5* resort the ground are beautiful and the views of the sea the restaurant are really good our favourite was armadillos Mexican restaurant We have really loved our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone you will have a great time thank you to all at the Royalton we will be back again
Only four stars but the best holiday ever

If there was a half star available, it would be 4 1/2 stars. Oddly, I am also going to say this was the best holiday I have ever had. And I've had a few! So why four stars? Royalton, fix the blumming toaster! I would say out of our 14 days there, and only one toaster in the main buffet restaurant, it was not working for 8/9 days. Such an easy thing to rectify surely? Equally, the lift in building 8. Was not working upon check in, worked intermittently during our stay but we departed the hotel the same way we arrived, using the service lift. My sister has mobility problems so this was always an issue. So having aired those niggles, let me say the staff at this hotel were amazing.The vibe team: queen dee, Starfish many others were phenomenal. Staff at Hideaway pool were great. The hurricane obviously spoilt our holiday a little in than we couldn't enjoy Ocean View restaurant and heaven forbid, we had paper plates for a few days, but we heard first hand about staff walking for 2 hours to get into work and we were humbled. The litmus test of a great holiday? Will I return? I'm not sure. Only because it was so much fun and minor niggles aside, perfect in every way, that I am scared it will not live up to my expectations next time.
